Someone Throw the Inseason State League BS in the Bin

As Above.

AWFUL House Brainspace Idea!

When the hell are you going to quit this selfish carpet bombing Grassy? Some idiots might encourage you but when are you going to take a breath instead of sitting on here posting whatever comes into your head?

Why does it rile you so much that Grassy posts 24/7 on a vast array of topics here….who really cares?….the only idiots TBH, are the ones losing their rags over Grassy’s posts…..it’s Grassy, always been Grassy…..and always will be Grassy….…..think of your cardiovascular morbidity mate……50 +, male, few kgs over your Adonis footy playing days, loves a curry, and a beer, sheez prime for the plucking……take an Ativan and CTFD

Carpet Bombing? You should give the AFL a call on that score,on the amount of Press Releases they put out over a certain 39 days.

Mate,it was on Sport FM yesterday.

The AFL,who would say they always had this 2 Day Summit with the Clubs planned long ago(between June 11 and July 19 morelike),are proposing a range of options for restructuring the Season.

None of them likely to be popular with supporters, but likely to be eagerly supported by eager to please young Administrators, looking to climb a career path.

But to serve their Members’ interests?Who are they?

I followed it up in The Age and amazingly,it wasn’t psywalled.

Then there was a survey,of the so called Options AWFUL House were considering.

If they asked the Footy Supporters,it would have Wedged them, because I daresay the option to say NONE of the Refixturing proposals were acceptable ,would be available.

Thankfully The Age Survey did and whilst the option to say None of them were Acceptable, was over 50%,it was the preferred option by far.

A better option like 22 Rounds,NO WILDCARD Round,NO Inseason Tournament would be nice to consider, but unfortunately, the Out of Control AFL who BS when they tell us they are ā€œlistening to the fansā€,wouldn’t consider such a. Commonsense option.

One of the Options involved that God Awful Inseason Tournament, where a 3 week Tournament would take place, involving a State League Team, aka the best 30 - 35 State Leaguers across Australia.

……………did that grab your attention?

So say Perth were going swimmingly in the WAFL at 9 - 2,only to have 8 youngsters yanked out.

Do the Football Commission consider a 3 Week Halt to the WAFL Competition or carry on?

If the former, sounds great, but half those players come back injured,….from a 3 week tournament as the AFL would peg it!

If the latter and the Football Commission say let’s keep moving,we endure a Major Form Slump. Not only over the next 3 weeks, but further on,no thanks to losing 4 players to an irrelevant competition!

Now then, what’s your stance on that?Pronably that option will get ditched, given the SANFL will blackball it!

But as always, the AFL come up with the biggest load of BS Idead and I for one, feel like calling it out!

It might be ok for some to sit back and say nothing, but not me and I don’t say such things, unless I see it!

You are quite free to do as you please and scroll on.You Don’t have to read it and that’s fine!

But if Clowns like the AFL come up with Appalling ideas and!or changes to the Game we love as Aussie Rules Footy and NOT Brand AFL,don’t you think it warrants a response?!

What you might think is Selfish,is to me in most posts is a genuine love of the game and the direction it’s taking, which is Bl**dy Awful!

If someone like Browny was attacking the AFL like I do,people would sit up and take notice.Bug because I’m your average Jo/e Blow,I should just SHUT UP and keep Schtum!

Is that how it works?Well, sorry to disappoint you!But unfortunately, the AFL and various Football Administrators just keep giving you more Grist for the Mill,…..

Thanks, Freeze.

Occasionally I do have a rest.

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The original post was only 2 lines anyway. Not sure R&B could constitute that in itself as Carpet Bombing, but he sure got me going.

I didn’t have a go at him,just a mild rebuke maybe!

But instead of reading my posts, maybe he should tune in to Sport FM during the day, particularly WAFL World

Bound to be some talking points now and I won’t worry one bit if he has a few things to say.In fact,I welcome what he does have to say!

Get your hand off it Grassy you literally took my advise the other day and created a topic on the weather FMD. How many forums have you been banned from for this kind of crap? All you do is turn people off forums because it’s mostly a bunch of garbled rant and rave having a go at this and that.

No one else has a chance because you have to get in first, second and last. Just like your cheerleader from across the ditch. Just plain selfish with no filter and ignorance must be bliss for some people. Quality over Quantity any day of the week.

And wait for it, who’s going to chime in next……? Here comes the marching girls.

It’s a forum. isn’t it all about posting your thoughts on a wide range of topics? And geez don’t we have a wide range of topics on here.

R&B what gives you the right to determine was is considered a ā€˜valid’ post worthy of the forum? If you’re not interested in a topic, don’t read it…

@oledemonbod101 post on the AFLs option to involve a mid-season mini tournament including state league rep sides is topical and relevant. It’s also a stupid idea that should never have got any oxygen from the AFL, hopefully every state league comp is pushing back!

2 if you count AFL Facebook Bots whose collective complaints trigger a Ban.

Helps them control 1 person’s narrative, conflicting with their’s.Can they control thousands of other conflicting narratives on Aussie Rules Footy,by having them Banned as well?

As for the weather,be it your advice or an interest of mine, the next week or 2 is going to deliver very contrasting weather.

Saturday funnily enough, might deliver the strangest of turns to say,Freo’s Season with the heavy weather at Arena Joondalup.

I only discuss things like Freo having the Centre Square at that Venue moved, because it was them that did so!

Held up the Bouncedown then by at least 20 minutes. Is that right? Will they do it again this week if Joondalup resembles a Lake? Will other Clubs be given the same courtesy by the Football Commission?

You know,I wouldn’t mind you raising a few topics.I might even agree with them,…not always.Depends on what you’re talking about.

Did you ladies notice the vastly improved coverage of the WAFL pre game and post game from Friday to Monday? Those of you who subscribe to the Worst.

Have you noticed the sudden emergence of injury lists on the Subiaco and Swans lists and other clubs updating injury lists.? Some people whinge about it, some do something about it.

You’re welcome.

Thank - You Tiger Tales.

We don’t always agree on things, but the great thing about a Forum with various threads,is we can chat about them within reason.

I know your’s truly and good old Peter(North)went overboard and probably needed to cool our heels, but I’ve generally moved on from the Peptides EMBARRASSMENT,except for people’s angle on Cronulla.

Similar scenario,different attitudes,…ah,opinions,eh?!

And sometimes I flush things out and you know what,I don’t mind being wrong. It allays my concerns sometimes and that’s a good thing. No skin off my nose.

PS - And thank - you Digby Beacham for your comments this morning.

Just need KG to egg on the SANFL to BIN this Rotten idea and the AFL can rack off!

Mate, the only ladies on here, are the ones getting their frillies in a twist over some footy posts. Hopefully the SD and Subi boys build you that statue you seek mate…..better start practicing that Tayla Harris pose I guess.

I guarantee you are in the minority. Not many posting except Grassy. It’s a total turn off but fully understand how a windbag like you would encourage him because that’s what you do. Always staggered how you two love to have the last word. Still copying and pasting between Ozfootball and Big Footy? Lol

What I notice about you is you don’t reply on real football conversation, that would require character. Instead you like to play the game.

Well,I have to have a look next time I grab a Friday paper at the Purple Shop.

But thanks.

Now,the WAFC need to fill us in on the Tribunal cases,Fully Updated. So John Townsend doesn’t need to.

By geez,by jingo,by Crikey.

So long as nobody suggests the Anna bolic pose.

Ohhhhh,wow!

:joy:

And oh, by the way, no surprise to me your club has a horrendous injury list before the season even started. Do you want me to post the photos I took of your ground in December last year? But no you took it in another childish way I’ve come to expect from you.

Here we go R&B the self proclaimed messiah the WAFL didn’t know it needed.

A few extra players listed on an injury list is clearly the biggest issue facing the WAFL atm, not the MSD, an aging supporter base, relevance in a saturated sporting market, ongoing funding of the competition and whether the Reserves comp will remain viable. Or as ole posted in this topic another stupid idea about a mid season state league rep side playing in a mid season AFL tournament…

How’s your respected opinion and influence going with getting the zones changed or your new clubrooms built?

It must have accidentally slipped your mind to mention competitive balance TT, something the WAFL has had a policy now for sometime that helped SF win a flag last year and helped EP play in the last two GF’s and looking like my club might play back to back finals. Isn’t it nice Perth was able to knock your mob off the weekend before last? Or isn’t that how it’s supposed to work? :joy:

Dare I try to explain to simpletons how important media coverage and information like who is available and not and what is the nature of their injury and how long they are likely to be out for.

Been a bit quiet lately TT on the Tiger thread.

I have no issue with competitive balance measures of extra player points or increased salary cap and as you’ve said these have been in place for quiet a while now so why would I list it as a current issue facing the WAFL? And more importantly why would you bring it up unless you are implying you were directly responsible for their implementation?

If you are, then I’ll put it with your suggestion that your letters to the editor, chats with the WA Football receptionist or rants on here have apparently directly influenced, in your own opinion, better coverage of the WAFL. If the media coverage has improved and thats a big if, then there are people with actual influence that are far more likely to have been responsible. Adrian Barich, John Townsend? You’re not one of them.

Perth were the better team on the day, deserved the win. Not the first time Perth has beaten Claremont won’t be the last. With only 2 games separating 1 to 8, nobody should be talking finals yet!

I’ve posted as consistently in the last month as I ever have on the Tigers thread. Not often!

Are you telling me what and where I have to post? If you’re are, you can…work the rest out

There was no reports in the West after round 10 on the Perth v CL and EF v WP games only the Eagles vs SD and we know why. Not even the Monday paper (digital version of it). The only reporting on the aforementioned games was in the digital version of the Sunday Times paper and, both games were squeezed into the one article.

As a passionate lifelong supporter of the WAFL I thought it was appalling and let them know this was a first in living memory. Do you want to see that become the standard? So didn’t you notice a big uptick in coverage of the WAFL (all WAFL games) from last Friday through to Monday?

You just keep on with your childish responses but I’d just prefer a thank you good onya mate.

TT, I think it’s time to give Terrance Plowright a buzz mate…..do you have his number?
