Freeze were you at Hagley yesterday watching the WI Greaves 202no, Hope 140 & ol Papa Roach 58no bat the Kiwis in to the dirt for 450 odd in the 4th innings?!

Every England player should sit down and watch a replay of that Stokes/Jacks partnership and told that this is the standard that we are expecting for the rest of the series. Make the Aussie bowlers work for their wickets. The Cricket won’t be as exciting but it will give them a chance to be competitive in the next 3 games

Not sure who you mean by “you” Razzle lol…far easier to fly the flag in your own backyard, then on foreign soil surrounded by hostile brainwashed locals…only one team for me mate on the international stage, and it doesn’t involve the words Black or Fern in it…nice try though…I give you 10/10 for your pot and spoon.

Out of interest, considering we continually get told Perth Footy zones are socio economically barren waste lands to live in…I can’t believe all folk who support the Perth footy club, actually reside in such waste lands…kudos to your resilience Razzle…it’s admirable mate.

Hagley Oval is a great cricketing view mate…well worth the watch…and yes my son and I popped down for a view on Sat…it was great seeing the disappointment on the locals faces, as Greaves and Roach denied them their expected victory…once again my insightful banter was misconstrued and not well received…but hey not the first, nor the last time that is going to happen I guess.

Yes it looks like a nice English village type ground, a bit in it for the bowlers day 1 & 2 then certainly flattens out to a nice batting track in the second digs fairly regularly.
You could tell the Kiwi commentators like that clown “Rigga Richardson” and co were getting very frustrated at their teams lack of success but apparently they were a couple of bowlers down, as it was only mentioned 15000 times during the day!! :upside_down_face:

looking as though England will swing the changes for Adelaide
Bethell , Bashir , Gilchrist & Fisher being mentioned
doubtful they will alter the attack pattern
and Adelaide is a ground they like
Starc has one and a half jugs on the POtS cup already

Southy Gilchrist & Fisher picked ahead of both Potts & Tongue who are proven Test bowlers?

Yeah Josh Tongue is a likely type
might be injured again at the moment
same with Potts
think Pope and Duckett are in the gun and they’ll want to rest Archer
long while since I’ve seen Stokes bowl so many overs
that’s the big one for this England iteration
they’ve picked so many quicks yet Stokes has bowled this much

I have to ask, do Mr Ball and his Kiwi maye actually believe the bile that comes from their mouths.
Really it it total tripe. How can they say, with a straight face, that they over trained.
Conmen both.

Was staggered England havent picked one of either Potts or Tongue as yet.
As I posted before the series started they needed to go alternative Tests with Archer & Wood as the 150kh+ blaster from one end as both are injury prone and let the 4 seamers like Atkinson, Stokes, Carse, Potts & Tongue go to work through the air and off the pitch.
Was surprised they went with both Wood & Archer straight up.

Apart from his first spell in the first test, and his spell yesterday, Archer has struggled to get up around the 140 mark. In the first test his speeds were way down. A bit of a front runner. His second stint in the Perth test he bowled some at around 112/113.
Wood is a real blow for them. He bowls very all the time and is prepared to bend his back on unresponsive pitches. Same as Carse. He was expensive and wayward but gave his all.
Woods and Archer I think were supposed to blast our inferior batting line up into oblivion.
Wood broke down. May have seen the last of him.

Funny story about Brydon Carse and a fool and his money soon parted.
Carting a couple of grand around in his wallet, lost his wallet and money blew all over the place.Got is all back though.Lucky we Aussies are honest.
And it seem that the Poms may have appointed Justin Langer as their coach. Asking for more warm up games and venues to train.Heaven help them if they have.No more pillows for the change rooms.

an achilles now for Hazelwood
gone for the year
more time for one of Boland , Doggett or Neser

Or maybe Bartlett, O’Neill or Richardson? I don’t think Doggett will be seen again…and Starc, surely is going to wane as the series goes on…it aint an Aussie summer without a Hazlewood injury

Mark Wood out for ashes with the knee - going home to UK

It aint an English winter or summer, without a Wood injury…like his fast bowling buddy…bodies like a violet crumble…Archer is going to have to grow a pair, and step up big time.

Yep seen enough of Doggett, the 3 boys you mentioned would by my next cabs off the rank along with Neser of course.
Starc, Cummins & Boland should be certainties if fit.

@Freezin maybe Doggett is being harshly marked. Given the thump it in short role. Apparently not his usual method.I thought he stuck to his guns well and fitted nicely into the bowling foursome.Sadly they were ham strung with only being able to bowl Green for short spells.
But I think that Cummins comes in Doggett goes out.
As for Wood, after seeing him fall over onto the wicket with his last ball in Perth, I think the wrting was on the wall.Quick yeah, durable, hardly.

Webster in for Green if the latter can only bowl Sparingly.
