Fark me, Aust make 500, and folk still want to deliver the negative narrative…not the first nor the last batsman to get out to a brain fade…great effort by that flimsy Aust batting order…every bat getting into double figures…Eng come our swinging…and won’t go down without a fight…good theatre viewing…
Looking like 2 tests over and done with within 6 days. A disaster for Cricket Australia. The way things are going Melbourne and Sydney will be dead rubbers.
A great day for the Aussie. Starc and Boland outstanding with bat and ball.
As would be expected Starc looked tired in his opening spell. But never dropped his pace. Came back later, bent his back some more and reaped the reward. A great for the Big Fella.
Bolland found his line and length and caused the Poms all sorts of problems. Another to reap the rewards.
Both Neser and Doggett played their part as well. Neser picked up two C&Bs.
Must be humiliating for the Poms to be getting smashed by the worst Australian team since 2010. Minus two of the Worlds best bowlers.
I didn’t watch much but watched Starc and Boland for maybe 15 or 20 minutes thinking this is boring as shit but clearly the tactic was to keep the poms out in the heat and humidity for as long as possible and it worked. Turned out to be a great tactic. Looks like it broke the poms.
All set up for one of those Stoke’s specials…that would put a smille on some of those naysayers faces…for a change.
Terrible few days for England, firstly their bowlers served up more pies than Pinjarra Bakery then their batsmen collapsed in a heap in the evening session. Disastrous performance and barring a freak innings from Stokes today this game will be over very quickly
Starc and Boland demonstrated how to occupy the crease for a couple of hours and still score at a reasonable rate.
With Cummins imminent return in the 3rd test, England are looking down the barrel.
A good tactic when all the opposition want to do,is get off the field and get relief from the sultry Queensland Heat.
Well, the P*ms can sure do with a Captain’s Innings right now, just to wipe the deficit out and make Australia Bat Again.
Looks like Carse is the bowler copping the flack rather than the entire bowling line up.
To me he has been the only one prepared to bend his back and keep up his pace. Seems he has heart.
As I said previously, Atkinson serves up pies. Tossing them at 130.
Archer needs a trip to the abatoir. He lacks heart and the ability to fight. Head down for much of the day.
Hopefully our attack today apply the same pressure as they did last night.
Line and length as per Boland.
Carse might bowl with Heart, but he’s a danger to his health, falling down on the pitch too often. That habit needs to stop, for his own sake.
Who knows Freeze. The wicket+pink ball. Defently plays different in the daylight ,hours.
If Jacks can support Stokes. And set the Aussies a 150 target .Bowling twilight and under lights. We will see.
Freeze the pink ball is 35 overs old.Jacks also bats no4 for Surrey.
The BBC where looking for Blood .Post match day 3.
Baz McCullum and Ben Stokes wanted nothing to do with it.They sent out assistant coach Marcis Trescothick to do the interview. And defend the lack of match preparation in Australia. And Bazz ball meltdown.
A lot of quicks do that.
He’s making a habit of it!
As I said. He is not the only one. Wood is another who does as well.
Great catch from Smith. Poms have batted well. Aussies bowled well with the wicket giving nothing.
Smith was like Forrest Gump, run, run run
Bowl fast when nothing on it. Great response Smudge.
The Poms found some heart when the game was all over.
Maybe some heart from the Poms in Adelaide.!!
Anchor the English side is having 4 days off. They are playing Golf on some Queensland tropical island.
In reality they need to play a 4 day game vs SA.
England are heading for a 07-08 .Five nil whitewash.
Smith pinning the ears back, and depositing Archer for 6 was gold…absolute gold. Gutsy effort by Stokes and Jacks, worked hard to get Eng noses in front, to make Aust bat again…needed others to step up the day before…
Well played Aust…yeah no doubt lucky again to secure another 8 wicket win…but hey, they don’t call Aust the lucky country for nothing.
