Somewhat predictable except for the backlines. Pretty light on IMO.
Surely Schenslog must play CHB Scoble to FB. Problem then is - who plays CHF - Peter/Paul problem.
Preston-Coates does not fit at FB for mine. Kemp not the answer as a small forward. I prefer Thorne closer to goal and Stubbs replaces Kemp.

Agree with Coates - but Stone did give him a wrap over the summer - may have grown into his body. The Mids will have to stem the flow down there and the forwards to lock it in. Johnston, Simpson and Dellamarta the only big outs that I can see. I think it is a very good team actually.
It’s a pre-season game, so happy enough to see how Preston-Coates goes. But unless he has improved significantly, if Johnson is not fit I’d rather see Schlensog as a key back and maybe play Q at CHF. I hope Dellamarta is not injured again. He would have benefitted from a pre season hit out. I would imagine this year will be his last crack at getting his body right for WAFL. I would have liked to have seen Williams play, as I regard him on paper very much as a fringe player who will need to prove himself. No sign of Gray or R Clarke. Again, it’s worth trying stuff in pre-season, but I can’t imagine Poole as a forward pocket. There might even be a crowd of sorts there if Fyfe is playing.

Begs the question about Peelmantle’s existence.
Let Freo have a side and piss Peel off.

Peels Colts side were in the GF 3 years ago weren’t they?
Bodle, Coniglio, Derksen,Q and Stubbs good. Gray going at it hard kicking practice though please. Young Moore composed when he had it. Brogan-Henry perhaps not enough to warrant a league game next week.
Preston Coates certainly serviceable at the difficult FB possie .
Paton good. All the Colts from the last few years OHB, Watson, Catchard, Wills - great
Thorne and Aaron Clarke together in the forward line gel well. It seemed Hill playing forward this year too.
Speaking of forwards Poole came off early with concussion protocol. Not knocked out or nausea or vomiting - I guess he will be a wait and see. Was flying high before coming off.
Schlensog our most valuable player for mine, Randell came good late.
John came on in the second half and did well. Brodie Mclean #36 was noticed
Good results in all three grades. Still a long way to go but looking positive. Peelmantle had 9 players in today which makes the win look good.
The Colts boys gave the defending premiers a bit of hurry up. Perhaps some good talent coming through.
When does the season proper start ?
Claremont are the defending Premiers in the Colts - Peel are the defending wooden spooners so maybe don’t get too carried away. Some big results in the Colts.
Peel had 13 Dockers, so you’ve undersold your team there - but looked like a good win. EF also had a good win - with Avery playing his part. Thanks for him

Told ya. Wasn’t it you that didn’t rank Avery in your best 22?
Schlensog played a blinder just wish he could hang on to a few more marks he would dominate. Charlie Constable got leather poisoning. Was impressed with young Brodie McLean as a small forward. Thorne, Hill, McLean, Stubbs, Derksen, Cutbill provide us with a multitude of scoring options to support Aaron Clarke.
