It doesn’t get an easier for the Demons with South Fremantle this week. For some reason it’s on a Sunday. Also the TV game.
I don’t think we’ll get close but hope that we can have a better four quarter effort.

Hopefully Stack will be back. I don’t know what happened with him last week. He didn’t play ressies either.
Also, McKenna will have to come in. I was hoping Irons would be back in the league side by now but I don’t think he played reserves either. Does anyone know why they didn’t play last week.

WB that is a hell of a lot of knees.
Certainly is Swan42, hope it’s nothing to do with the new super surface!
I reckon this game will get real ugly.
We will probably be competitive in one quarter and that’s about it.
Let’s hope Souths mindset is they just have to turn up to get the job done and let’s also hope it’s a dirty day with the weather.
The weather will be dry by then. Haze predicted a 130 pts hiding last night.
Stack had some family commitments last week should be back this week. Would have thought MckEnna to come back maybe Etto also.
If Eyres doesn’t pass fitness test who will get the job?
Sheezus, good luck Gents.
Powerful line up for the Demons this week. Shouldn’t have too much trouble getting past the Bulldogs, despite being at Fremantle. Perth by 30+.
Sorry. Just woke up from a nap.
Its is definitely not all doom and gloom:
We played in a prelim in 1997, here is a list of the players from that game and the WAFL games they had played at the start of 1996:
Craig Shearer - 0
Jon Haynes - 8
Joe Procter - 25
Bomber T - 61
Shane Sikora (oh dear) - 9
Shane Evans (RIP) - 87
Paul Lewis - 0
Gary Merrit- 0
Winnie - 8
Shane Cable - 122
Driptray Jackson - 60
Paul Lenaghan - 5
Brett Spinks - 35
Matt McMurray - 0
Julian Burgess - 0
Nob - 23
Adrian Cachard - 0
John Morrison - 0
Tractor - 12
Fluffy Maher - 0
Russell Walton - 0
So if we get a Spinks up forward (surely a fit Spencer White gets us some of the way), an Adrian Cachard and the current crop keeps developing, given that got more games under their belt than the 1996 squad, and a few come through anything could happen next year!!!
Memories.
Damien O’Driscoll and Jermaine Davis crucial outs for the prelim.
Injured the week before in the destruction of East Perth.
Having just watched that amazing Sydney Essendon game, it motivates me to raise a flogged horse once again. The governing body of the AFL must be congratulated on their long-term strategies to create an even, interesting, enjoyable, thrilling competition where each week no team is a certainty. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a group of dedicated, passionate WAFL people who could guide this once great competition in a similar vein.
but it does depend a bit on whether you like to see NSW teams win
Ha. But you are so right CM. I reckon if you gave WAFC commissioners a spot quiz on WAFL ladder
they would get one or two correct. They so don’t care.

Couldn’t have said it better myself CM. Instead we have a $ide in $ubi who have been gifted an endless pit of money off the back of every West Aussie of the day when $ubi Oval was built and have Randall in their corner in the WAFC who keeps the auditors/wolves from their door, the latest testament to that was when the WAFC issued Marty Atkins with a “please explain” or commonly known as a gag notice regarding his truthful comments about $ubi.
We then have the East Perth Ferals who now have in their keeps over $300k+ and amazingly enough in the past 6 weeks not a word has been spoken of leaving the alignment arrangement (PS: they had 5 wins in a row). Finally the proof in the pudding that the alignments are a distinct advantage is Peel won last years Flag. They won as many games last year than they have won in their existance.
Thanks to those 3 clubs for fucking up our once great comp
Just having a quick lock at who is playing reserves that was listed and Edmonds, Mercer and Burke are all playing twos. Brennan Stack also playing reserves.
So the club went with the kids after winning seven games last year and have gone backwards at a rapid rate, what do these floggings do to the confidence of the young kids ,some A grade amateur sides would beat Perth at the minute.
