Remaining fixtures for 2022 season

With six of the nine fixtured rounds completed and number seven coming up this weekend, the WAFL still have not released the fixtures for the remainder of the season. Once again they are proving how inept they really are.

expect the WCE to get permission for fielding up to 15 senior players in the WAFL during their AFL bye round as well

Exactly sf4l. Was looking late last week and could not find any fixtures for the second half of the season. Which I find very odd!
One can only presume the fixturing as we’ve seen for the first 9 weeks will simply be repeated in the second half of the season?

The Beagles play Claremont that weekend when the Eagles have the bye.I suspect they will have a maximum of ten players available. Some will be youngsters like Trew,J Williams and Bazzo. Yeo and ,sheed.need a few more weeks at wafl level and several are due back in the next few weeks including Strnadica,Liam Ryan,Willie Riolli,Petrucelle and Foley.i suspect the eagles will use the bye week end get some match practice into them.I almost forgot Culley there new recruit. .I am glad we don’t have to play them in a couple of weeks as they will become a tricky team to beat as they get more players back from injury.

I’m also amazed they have not been released, hopeless!

I heard that they are only releasing 5 rounds any time soon.

Subi’s next three games are a repeat of the three just played… what a crock

Very strange Frothy. On the upside they have finally worked out that the gf is better to be played the week after the afl granny. Rocket scientists this lot

Whats the big issue with fixtures surely the obvious thing is to just repeat the first 9 rounds. It ain’t rocket science. Why do these WAFC wankers have to complicate things. For decades when we had an 8 team comp, it was 3 matching rounds of 7 games for a 21 game season. Much simpler times with much better footy.

Spot on SS.
Some of these muppets at WAFC HQ should give Peter Bowler a ring and ask how to run a proper footy comp!

I recently saw the 1981 Westside Football GF edition, they had the 1982 fixtures already set and printed, up near the back page. In September. Fmd 40 years later we get them 1 minute before the season starts and they are all over the place and make no sense. Evolution!

Exactly DG. Another example of the stupidity that is all too common in this supposedly “you beaut modern day and age”. Society has gone backwards!

Sounds a lot like The West Australian Newspaper who own the Sunday Times DG, we used to be able to buy the Sunday Times on a Saturday night around 7.30 to 8pm. That’s a physical newspaper. Now the slack cunts can’t even produce a digital version before midnight, last night, oops this morning it wasn’t available til after 1am. Lazy and pathetic. That’s what happens when there is no competition to make them look second rate. I’m seriously considering dumping my subscription.

That was when we had decent football administrators running the WAFL DG like Peter Bowler.
These days the WAFC apparently leave the fixtures up to Uni students would you believe who probably havent got the faintest idea about football…and the results are a dogs breakfast fixture listing.
How hard would could it be to play the same 9 sides in the same order in the second round of fixtures as we did in the first round of 9 fixtures?
Sheesh we only did it for 7 decades or more in the WAFL pre Peel and that was with 3 rounds of fixtures to set!!!

Yes that being correct. Uni students do a lot of this stuff (amongst other activities). One would have thought the commission would be all over it like they used to be in previous years. Sadly one now needs asking what’s the point of the damn commission. The recent report published because of the whistle blower being quite damning of that department! One would think drawing up fixtures in plenty of time would not be too difficult. And not leaving it to the last minute.

I doubt if any of these issues would even exist if there WAS a WAFL.

funny how the fixturing has been rubbish ever since the 10th team was introduced - the 10th team wasn’t going to have home games either we were told along with fixtures being easier without the bye every week

I obtained a copy of Swans fixtures for the rest of the season
Round 10 - Subiaco - played them in round 5
Round 11 - no games due to the women’s Grand Final
Round 12 - Perth - played them in round 3
Round 13 - South Fremantle - played them in round 6
Round 14 - East Perth - played them in round 1
Round 15 - Claremont - played them in round 4
Round 16 - bye
Round 17 - West Coast - played them in round 7
Round 18 - East Fremantle - played them in round 2
Round 19 - West Perth - played them in round 9
Round 20 - Peel Dockers - played them in round 8

Simple question. Why not have the same fixtures for the first nine games but reverse the venue instead of this crap they do now? It makes a mockery of the whole competition.

So you’re the one who still has a subscription
