Sounds a lot like The West Australian Newspaper who own the Sunday Times DG, we used to be able to buy the Sunday Times on a Saturday night around 7.30 to 8pm. That’s a physical newspaper. Now the slack cunts can’t even produce a digital version before midnight, last night, oops this morning it wasn’t available til after 1am. Lazy and pathetic. That’s what happens when there is no competition to make them look second rate. I’m seriously considering dumping my subscription.
I obtained a copy of Swans fixtures for the rest of the season
Round 10 - Subiaco - played them in round 5
Round 11 - no games due to the women’s Grand Final
Round 12 - Perth - played them in round 3
Round 13 - South Fremantle - played them in round 6
Round 14 - East Perth - played them in round 1
Round 15 - Claremont - played them in round 4
Round 16 - bye
Round 17 - West Coast - played them in round 7
Round 18 - East Fremantle - played them in round 2
Round 19 - West Perth - played them in round 9
Round 20 - Peel Dockers - played them in round 8
Simple question. Why not have the same fixtures for the first nine games but reverse the venue instead of this crap they do now? It makes a mockery of the whole competition.

Thanks for these Swansfan4life. You wonder why the WAFL site has only published the fixtures up to round 14 if the fixtures for the rest of the season have been decided. They are just treating WAFL supporters with contempt
The absolute epitome of how poor the fixtures have been of recent times was last year when we played Claremont in Round1 and then didnt play them again until the very last round home and away Round which was in early September a 5 month gap between fixtures between 2 teams.
A deadset dogs breakfast and could be oh so simply fixed!
I hope Lathlain Park can hold up , looking at the fixtures there’s day games & also double headers for the next few weeks
The oval will hold up. The bigger worry is how the players pull up after playing there. Maybe just a coincidence Perth’s injury list over the past two seasons and the surface. And now Meth Coke after pinching it to train on over summer.
Anyway, the fixtures being shrouded in secrecy makes no sense. I can’t see how hard it is to release a full season of fixtures at the start of the season that can be subject to change, if necessary, but provide some certainty for people that, god forbid, might actually want to go and watch the game live in person (and would appreciate some fkn notice of when the game is on, who their mob is playing and where).
I just noticed that the Eagles v Souths game is part of a double header at Lathlain this Saturday starting at 5.00pm after the Perth v West Perth match up. Why not just play the game at Fremantle and start it at the normal time?
Everything seems to be about the eagles. Well, they are going to bring an extra 5000 fans to each game after all…?. And no home games, or did I just dream that? Trying to work out which is the Ch7 game this week, can’t see that anywhere.

“Expanded free-to-air television coverage of the WAFL will see 26 matches broadcast live and free on Channel 7, enabling viewers to watch a game each week during the home and away season, every WAFL Final, plus the Colts and Women’s League Grand Finals.”
Sheesh I nearly drove off the road today whilst listening to the radio and someone mentioned why the WAFL fixtures have not been released for the last 4 rounds.
Apparently they are waiting for the AFLW fixtures to be released can you believe before they can ink them in and release as it may effect the availability of Fremantle Oval & Lathlain Park!!!
Never in my lifetime would I have ever expected that essentially the WAFL is playing second fiddle to aflw!

That’s the pecking order now.
AFL
AFLW
(and a long, long distant third)
State leagues
That won’t happen for a while Daz as they still have to create the AFL LBGQTIABCXYZ league first and then the trannies will follow that so they actually have something to transition into.

Mate there is every chance the AFL will try and fast track this like they did with AFLW maybe by compelling each club to hand-over 4 players to transition to set up a league? Got the coach sorted already - Dani from Westminster
