Perth vs Old Easts

Paton and Davis massive outs and could be 1 more. Simpson returns but no Cory Byrne.

Eardly out for them and lost Bennett for the season a couple of weeks ago and still without Harry Marsh.

Last time we played them Schlensog and Hine-Baston were late outs and Simpson didn’t play. We have those 3 this time but missing Edwards, Byrne, Davis and Paton and…??

They are also without Blakiston who played against us last time. Let’s call the outs even but I think EF go in as hot favourites.

If any players, especially a key player, are in any doubt, they should be rested. This is a game that we are likely to lose anyway. We shouldn’t risk a longer term injury. I’d fancy our chances v EP more than EF. After that we have SD at home, a welcome bye, WP at home followed by Peel. If we are near full strength, we should win those latter three games, which would sew up a finals spot.

Perth will be fine…EF been rolled by SD and Subi last two games…if Schlensog plays, then he will surely be the difference…was last time apparently. Shaun McManus’s boy could be in line for a debut for EF. Should be a good game…a lot to play for.

I hope the coaching staff have been in the ear of Elijah.
And also that his teammates rally around him this time.
He is a far better footballer than the meathead.
Keep your cool Scobes, and let your football do the talking.

Scones will keep his head but I doubt that meathead will keep his.
Hill has kept his place ahead of Kemp. Hard to understand.

I think we got 3 out of 4 here Cesspit. I too would have preferred Kemp over Hill but the other 3 inclusions from extended list to reduced list were the best choices. Moore will play Patons role and Simpson will play Aussies.

I have seen Hill do well before (though not last week) - hopefully tomorrow he does again. Moore’s 4th or 5th game so will have a feel for it now. As I said before - he will compete tirelessly. Simpson to ? have his best ever game for the club.

I would prefer Preston Coates ruck all day and Schlenna CHF or CHB. How’s that for a call?

Injury list has been updated - Byrne next week Paton the week after. No update on Poole or Edwards but what’s the go with Jacob Roberts. Named as an emergency last week for League, only got 4 disposals in the Ressies but this week not named in League, Ressies or on the injury list.

Unless Schlensog is the player rednblack alluded to as being under an injury cloud, he has to ruck. He would be too mobile for Strnadica. Paton is due back round 15. That is v SD and we have a bye the week after. I’d rather take a cautious approach and bring him back after the bye. Daniel Hill… I don’t have an insider’s perspective. There must be something in him the selectors see that I don’t. In the same way that they don’t see Gray as a league player despite being the best performed player in the reserves across 2 years. I guess we have to trust the selection panel.

Young fellas recover quickly from hammies. Byrne and his cheekbone another matter.

Broken nose and fractured cheek bone for Robert’s in the first quarter last week.

Brogan-Henry not playing Ressies

Injuries are starting to bite at the wrong time. Still, the reserves are making short work of EF, despite the fact that there are very few players with league experience in our team. Della and Gray too good for that level. Good effort by the colts in taking it up to the top team.

Dare i say it Shlenslog was the difference.

A win for the ages that one. Hard work and perseverance nothing pretty. Umpires were a joke.

Yes Aaron Clarke was the one I knew would be out. Apparently a calf 3-6 weeks. Jesse Glass-McCasker is apparently away on holidays and won’t arrive for 2-3 weeks.

Byrner and Davis should be available next week.

Outstanding win with 6 of our best 22 missing. Parfitt was outstanding, capped off by a contested intercept mark late in the last quarter. Constable was tagged but still found plenty of it. Schlensog excellent again, though some of his kicking was a bit off. And I will gladly eat humble pie re Daniel Hill. Next week Davis and Byrne back, and two of TBH, Moore and Bodle drop out.

Bad news re Clarke. Derksen wasn’t good today (what was with that torp from 60m out?!) I guess we’ll have to play Luers as the tall forward for the time being. When Edwards comes back, maybe Schlensog can play forward.

Anyway, with WP and Peel both losing, we are 4 games clear with 6 games left, so surely we are safe in the five now.

Ted I think Edwards might be done for the season. But hopefully in about a month we will have Glass-McCasker and Johnno available but both will be underdone.

Schlensog is a more than adequate replacement for Edwards, but we miss his versatility. Maybe even Q might get a look in, just to provide a target. We had JPC playing forward at times today. I’d rather have Q, albeit I don’t think he’s quite a league quality player.

SHOW ME, I think it was Stone that won us the game.
The Geelong midfield in the last quarter were outstanding.
Schlensog, Constable, Parfitt and Simpson, showed us why they are imperative signings for next year.
Having said that some of our youngsters are gaining experience and dare I say could well set us up for the next decade.
It is also imperative that signing Stone for an extension, would be worth it’s weight in gold.

Yep i here ya it was for Freezin benefit.

Fantastic round for Perth with all league results going our way. So close in the Colts and a big beautiful win in the Ressies.

To win without our big outs fantastic.

Played myself today so couldn’t make it but gee I am looking forward to seeing them soon.

A remarkable win. We were crucified by the umpires early, not by the frees EF got but by the frees that we didn’t get.
Parfitt and Constable both tagged but those tags seemed to drop right off late in the game. Sensational game from Schenslog rucked all day - 52 hitouts to go with 21 disposals.
I agree the kids from the Colts are getting better by the game and playing with confidence.
Did my eyes deceive me or did Q rack up 30 plus disposal in the ressies?
Yes, we are now positioned well in the five but it is not over yet and there is still work to do.
