We are plumbing the last vestiges of our depth here. Della out for the year with āpersonal reasons.ā Without him and Gray, the reserves are losing to the last placed team. Yes, I know itās only reserves but any success is welcome. We had a good run with injury for a while, but now have 11 on the list, 4 for the season, one indefinite and 7 of that list are best 22. With Edwards, Johnston and hopefully Simpson to come back, we should be able to field a decent team come finals, but canāt afford anyone else going down.
Just not contesting as hard as WP in the first halfā¦need to lift big time!

A shocking result blowing an opportunity to go 2 wins clear of fifth. If the football commission had any doubts about our depth of talent then there is a shocking reminder. I know every other MF wants to make our zones look like mutton dressed up as lamb.
This team today still had three A grade recruits in Constable, Parfitt and Schlensog.

Stone is a smart coach he would already be working on fixing our biggest problem which imo is our defence, you canāt have Sing and Prestoncoates as our key pillars.

Johnno has been the missing piece all season. No stats showing in the reserves but he probably needs to be rushed in next week.

Regardless of the last quarter , what an appalling effort, nothing short of pathetic! Only a handful of players can hold their head high. The ease with which WP strolled the ball from their backline to the goals earlier in the game was unbelievable.

Well the 3rd quarter was when they blew us out of the water. Should have won the game in the last qtr such was our dominance but when you dig a big hole for yourself you have to do everything right. Patonsā 2 misses were costly and that pathetic goal umpire decision from Schlensogsā soccer.
We didnāt deserve to win in the end the right team got the 4 points. Luckily those wins over EF and SD have probably secured our spot in the finals. EF are the one under the pump.

TFAF why all the angst with SMTM post? Pretty sure SMTM isnt the first or last poster to keep changing their namesā¦not sure why folk change their namesā¦well I do know, but one has to be PC, and not highlight their FITH fragility.
WP need to win all 3 to get 5th spot, as do Peelā¦EF are punch drunk staggering around in 5th spot, and donāt deserve to play finals on their 2nd half of the season displayā¦Perth have 4th spot signed and sealedā¦the top 3 are easing into the finals with minimal injuries compared to P and EF growing injury listsā¦depth is the key at the pointy end of the seasonā¦some have it in spades and some donāt.

Iām disappointed but not as angry as some here. I think we simply reached a tipping point where our injuries are almost impossible to cover. 9 best 22 players not playing. We lost 4 in the last game alone, which is almost impossible to cover. The problem lies in the backline. John is nowhere near the required standard. and Philip was very poor. Credit to Evans - apart from a clanger giving up the last goal to WP, he was much better than expected. But TBH - 7 touches, John 6, Philip 6, Sing 7 - we just didnāt get any drive out of the backline, apart from Taylor.
John has to go, to be replaced by Fleiner. If Simpson and Clarke are back, then TBH and either Bodle or Luers come out. Edwards is due back next week, but may need a week in the reserves. Johnston only played a half today and I canāt see him coming back until the last home and away game. Kemp is doing all he can to put his name forward, but itās hard to find a spot for him, unless Moore comes out.
