Just on that last quote of your’s Lucy I actually noticed there wasnt a Little League game on at half time at Lathlain Park yesterday, I must admit I hadnt seen that before in my 34 years of WAFL footy?!
Me too Beasley. Apparently it was because of school holidays. Did other games have little league games?
Positives very hard to find yesterday however Chance Bateman showed he’s still more than a handy player at WAFL level and took a nice pack grab on the grandstand wing to show the calf must be ok.
Clem Smith could never be accused of shirking a contest, goes in hard but needs to be wary he doesn’t cross the ever expanding line. Looks like his left foot needs a bit of work.
Leyendekkers is certainly worth persevering with, ditto Sinclair.
Tropiano backed up last weeks debut game with a solid performance.
Our kicking at goals was very poor yesterday and Bevo had a shocker in front of the sticks and was a touch selfish on a couple of occasions. As mentioned previously Stack was struggling and couldn’t register a score in the last qtr from 45 when we needed it.
O’Sullivan’s change in guernsey hasn’t halted his poor season, speaking of which it would be nice if the club could get all players with correct numbers in the budget. Maybe it was due to the Indigenous jumpers being used. Jarryd Morton was listed as 29 but wore 39. Jones was wearing 24 which was listed as Risol. Has Risol changed numbers too? We need him back desperately. Jones didn’t do much but he was no orphan there.
Edmonds was very quiet and didn’t inspire when he did get hold of the ball.
All is all a very average game but we were more average than SF and no face up to Subi next week……roll on 2015
Yep on the money and i also reckon Benny Hill music blaring over the loud speakers during the game wouldnt have sounded out of place either!
The other change that is needed is a new fitness regime.
Has anybody else noticed when our players get injured during the season they seem to spend a hell of a long time in recovery on the sidelines!
10 goals on a beautiful day for footy, pathetic.
I hope the new coach brings in an atrractive game capable of scoring 16 or 17 goals weekly and with it the players capable of carrying it out!
Watching these blokes is like watching an old fashioned under 10 game where everyone is chasing the ball to get a kick.
To be fair to Trevor Williams he has inherited a train wreck, problem is the tracks have never been laid properly under the previous coach so it’s no surprise we derail when the heat goes on.
I think anyone who listens to Trevor Williams could not be anything but impressed and I hope he is retained in some capacity. He is an asset to the club. He knows how to speak to young men and get his message across. Maybe the colts job which we have failed in, even under McDud who had some success, how many have gone on from his tenure to become top line league footballers or AFL footballers? Not that many, can just about count them on one hand.
Williams has the runs on the board at colts level and I don’t think any new senior coach would have a problem with him being senior assistant. And I will go one further and I know I will cop some stick for this, but if none of the high profile names mentioned show interest in the job then we could do a lot worse than give the job to Williams for two years. He’s a good teacher and good communicator and I am pretty sure he is well respected among the player group.
Was interesting to see Macmahon was at the game yesterday, obviously no hard feelings..
Skills were shocking yesterday, we kept slipping over which didnt help.
Edmonds was terrible.
Even the captains skills were very average.
All in all another wasted year.
That’s enough to make me puke. That bloke should be barred from the place.
It would be an absolute PR disaster to give Williams the senior job.
Nice bloke and all the rest but i think its fair to say the majority of supporters want to see a complete change within the coaching group from colts coach to senior assistants.
We need change and Trevor Williams has to be part of it.
Lets get this right and as hard as this may sound, appointing a sacked wooden spoon coach from another wafl club is not the way forward!
Are Perth supporters entitled to think that a new coach will have us playing finals next year? I don’t think so this club has gone that far backwards in the last four years it’s going to take a monumental effort from the new coach and a heap of new recruits.

In a word, NO. We need 3 or 4 topline recruits. A few former players returning would be a good start.
What we need is a new coach that can go through the list and if you cant mark and cant kick and show basic skills then you play ressies until you can.
Recruit!! damn right we need to recruit and at my last count we need a minimum of 5 players.
I doubt any former players will return and why would they most if not all will be playing finals this season at there new wafl clubs.
There are two things that kill us every week, poor disposal and we are mighty slow to react and man up and defend when the ball is in the oppositions hands. Time and time again sides find a loose man out the back and they go coast to coast and hit up a target right in the sweet spot right in front about 35m out.
Why did Joel Houghton get dropped after playing his best game last week and why did Brennan Stack play when he was clearly on one leg? Did the football manager not approve of the pants Houghton was wearing after last weeks game? We’ve lost too many good players due to this knob and he has to go.

How is it the football managers fault that Houghton didn’t play?
Agree totally worm burner with your assessment on game and players, as well as where we are at. Echoed my thoughts totally.
As for other posters comments, I don’t think Trevor Williams is going to satisfy anyone’s requirements as a league coach and futile mentioning as the man himself has stated numerous times he isn’t interested. Do agree however a development role is his strength and would like to see retained.
Said in the paper houghts was injured. Did he play in the 2s?
Anyone else heard that Chris Waterman is well and truly the front runner from what I’ve heard? Great footballer but similarly uninspiring as the last bloke. Don’t know about him
Where did you hear that Sacko?
Houghton was dropped for telling a coach to get f****D. He played 2s.
Brad Keast was the one pulled up for being out of uniform.
I agree he should have been in uniform but I don’t agree with the way he was told. I believe he has gone AWOL.
Where have you heard that from Sacko?
I think Risol may have played his last game for the Club.
Ankle in a moon boot thingame.
Although someone has suggested he may be off for a trip and may return the following year.
Not sure if that is true.

Which coach was that DF?
And how did Brad Keast get informed?

Bloody hope he plays next year. Will be a massive loss if he doesn’t.
