P v SF

Reckon that was a couple of years ago Smokey and not last season, unless of course they have done it a couple of times to us.

At home we should win this and win it well but then again its “us” we are talking about!

I don’t know how Edmonds kept his spot.
The midfield looks a bit dicey again even moreso with Leeson now out. J Morton named in the centre, could be an interesting move if he plays there.
Good to see Clem Smith back.

He did that last week. I think Williams is trying to add a bit of height in the guts. Something Dunderkklumpin didn’t try too often.

This game will break one teams losing run. Perths last win was in round 7 on May 3 against Peel Thunder. Since then they have lost 7 straight. South Fremantle’s last victory was on the same day against Claremont and since then they have lost 6. A long time between drinks for both teams.

Tim Hunt has been taken of our list. That frees up 10 more points.

As a diehard supporter , with no finals to look forward to & a few key players out injured , you have to say well it’s good opportunity to suss out the list maybe a couple of new roughies in sort of thing
This is one of those games for us - maybe the Dees too , both sides looking for coaches , out of the race & trying to avoid a spooning
Still some good talent in this game looking at both lists , interesting

I wonder if that was done to free up points for Tropiano?
I think Tropiano may work out to be a good get.

Was McMahon in the job when we recruited Tropiano???
I dont think he was and if he was the club imo already new he was out the door.

I would have thought the new coach would be making the new recruiting decisions particuarly on players worth 5 points or more.
IT may well work out hes a good get but who knows (EF very rarely let the good ones go) but isnt this what Percy was talking about, the suits interfering?
Somebody made the decision to recruit Tropiano and imo it wasnt McMahon or the (coaches).

30plus, as you know a lot of players come to Perth from other clubs because they see us as a side they can crack a regular league game with when they are frustrated at lack of opportunities at their former club. Quite often they are spuds, or list cloggers, and we have a few in there. But occasionally we get lucky. Early days but we might have picked up one worth the points.

I know all that but i reckon in a lost season without a full time coach these decisions should be left for the new bloke in the off season, this is exactly what Percy was talking about…football decisions being made by the wrong people.
Lets face it East Freo as a rule dont let good young ones go easily.

I don’t see a problem with it, our midfield is our biggest weakness and he has 30 games under his belt and would probably be one of our tallest mids. Got nothing to lose. If he was just another half back half forward type then yeh that would be a waste of time.

For mine he made a good start and could be a very good get. Time will tell.
He is well worth the 5 points for this season and how he goes from here on will determine whether or not he will remain a Demon in 2015.

I reckon we’ll find out a fair bit about this playing group today. That SF team would have to be amongst the weakest they have put on the field this season so there are no excuses for not getting the points this arvo - and winning convincingly at that. Another tame performance and maybe its time to show a few players the door as well…or maybe we can sack the coach again.

Have to say here that this one could have gone either way in the last quarter - hope you Dee lads stick together as good times will come along

There are two things that kill us every week, poor disposal and we are mighty slow to react and man up and defend when the ball is in the oppositions hands. Time and time again sides find a loose man out the back and they go coast to coast and hit up a target right in the sweet spot right in front about 35m out.

Why did Joel Houghton get dropped after playing his best game last week and why did Brennan Stack play when he was clearly on one leg? Did the football manager not approve of the pants Houghton was wearing after last weeks game? We’ve lost too many good players due to this knob and he has to go.

Disappointing result for the Demons and their supporters today. I thought they would be good things at home after their performance against the Sharks last week. Thought Houghton must be injured to be left out this week as his performance last week was very good taking a number of contested marks. If the Football Manager is having an influence at the selection table then good luck!

I know we don’t win many games ever but we win f*ck all at home. Any danger in a home ground advantage? Geez we suck so bad

One of the most uninspiring boring games ive had the misfortune to watch.
Lucky for the punter there today there was a patch of 7 or 8 minutes of the last term that was at least a little exciting for the lead change, other than that CRAP!!

I knew i was in for a crap afternnon when in the first 2 and a half minutes Leyendeckers lines up at full forward, the ball is deep in Souths forward line, forward pocket to be exact and i see Leyendekers get tackled down there over the boundry line and i turn to look back at our forward line and not 1 Perth player within 90 metres of our goal, game plan at its best.FMD!!

I hope the new coach brings a dirty great big red pen with him to rule through the names of players that are impersonating footballers.
Gee for as much as we have had dud coaches we do have plenty of dud players make no mistake about that.

A poster predicted many many weeks ago on here that we wouldnt win another game for the rest of the year well he’s on the money.
Another wooden spoon awaits!!

Another spoon beckons…geez this club has cost me a lot crap talk at work over the years…so over it!!!

Any other team in the comp would of run away with that game after hitting the front in the last but not us nope we have never been able to do that and after watching yesterdays game who is surprised? Willing to have a hundred on Bevan going next year!

Remember that famous Shane Warne quote ‘can’t bowl can’t throw’? Well Perth can’t kick, mark or goal! Our skill errors were shocking and not even to little league standard!
