Off-Season

What does that mean.
Are they assistant coaches or not?

Mentors to assistant coaches. Rumble the only assistant coach out of the three.

Sorry doesn’t make sense

Would think Rumba is the best qualified to be the ressies coach/senior assistant, he has experience as an assistant coach with the state 18’s and with Subi, not sure Pridda or Skid have had any formal coaching experience or have the required accreditation, but will stand corrected on that. That being said a Sandover and Brownlow medalist and a multiple Naylor medalist would be so valuable as mentors for the mids and forwards.

Mentors or assistants, the same thing??? Surely assistant coaches do not require mentors. Their mentor would surely be the senior coach.

My word is that Armstrong is the midline coach with help from Priddis. Someone else is the forward coach with help from Smith.

On this- I am very disappointed that Armstrong has retained his spot as I think he doesn’t inspire at all.

Brad Smith spent a long time in the coaches box at the Eagles after he was forced to retire. Not sure what his role was.

What absolute nonsense give us an example of a Perth suppoter smearing the club since the German appointment? Don’t start this turning supporters against each other shit again. It is in fact, a West Perth supporter coming on here stirring up shit which is nothing new and it is well known among some of us supporters that one of our coaches has close ties with West Perth and East Fremantle supporters.

It is no coincidence that they come on here with info leaked out about the internal goings on in our club. That bloke in my opinion is a cockroach and should be eliminated.

we’ll go on then who is this leak you talk about

[quote=“DD post=223644 userid=1749”]Thanks for your honesty Panetts and your time serving the Perth FC. Now you can enjoy supporting your beloved Sharks. The reserves premiership was a great day but unfortunately wasn’t a true reflection of our depth, rather a number of experienced league players winding down on their WAFL career’s. I wish you all the best

DD - I agree that reserves premiership wasn’t a true reflection of our depth. However, nor was it as a result of players winding down their careers. The 3 players you talk of did next to nothing in any of those finals games. The prelim and GF wins were 100% a team effort coupled with one or two younger players brilliance and some very good coaching.

Thank you Andrew for your 9 year’s dedication our club, some good players have come through the system and now playing league largely due to your guidance at the lower levels.

Lots of names mentioned their Dazz but a bit confusing as to the nature of their roles.
OK, Barra= President
Priddis, Rumble and Smith = coaching/mentoring roles?
David Mundy= development, coaching, mentoring. Some role on Board?
Ben Cousins= ?? presumably coaching and mentoring
Peter German= Head Coach.
Begs the question - what are we creating here? Hope it won’t be too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

Im happy for guys the quality of Priddis and Smith to be involved any way Germsn sees fit..The more successful people the players can get advice off the better.

All of these big “additions” we hear about and yet not one player mentioned. Brady Grey would have been a great start but we must have been asleep again. We could have offered him a senior off field role as well as a key player recruit.

Yes it would be nice to hear of some player additions which fill one of our many needs. Regarding Gray i doubt there would be anything we could have offered him which would have trumped what he landed with Freo.

The involvement of all these ex-players will, hopefully, assist greatly in attracting the right players to the club. In time, perhaps sooner rather than later, we will become a desired destination club.
With no official news on recruits to date, hopefully there will be big news in the not too distant future.

Brady would have been offered all that and more at Freo on better money, we can’t compete with them and remember he followed Fraser McIness along with Andrew Fisher in that first Covid year when the AFL reserves couldn’t play and they were “loaned to us” then the next year they all told WC we want to play for Perth. So we were lucky to have him. Fraser and Fisher have since retired, now he is looking after his career as his playing career is winding down. I bare no animosity towards him.

Smokey I think it’s all about setting our club up for a better future and I don’t think there are going to be any first year miracles under German. It’s going to be a slow build. Others have already gotten considerably stronger on the field who were several steps ahead of us already and we have been weakened by some retirements.

I think we are in a similar position to Subiaco in the early 80’s when they made the Bunton appointment though in a better position financially but what they had was great talent coming through the ranks. At the end of the day we can do all the best recruiting, but it is only going to be a band aid approach until we see a fair system in place when it comes to zones.

And the WAFC needs to get off it’s fat arse and give up on it’s policy of doing nothing and hoping Perth just folds.

Trent Manzone has signed with Perth. Good luck Trent.

Why would we recruit a 31 year old who has played 152 league games and is going to cost us 10 points?
Winger taking the piss again?

Got me beat. Bit of a worry IMO. He played ressies for half the season including no league finals.
We need to spend our points very carefully.
