ODI series

Have no doubt Head will b in the running Mikeh…happy for him to replace Warner who like Smith seems to be immune from selection queries …bowling wise Aust look good…batting wise it will be interesting to see who the selectors plump for… hopefully the selectors go for ODI specialists like Eng have in Roy, Buttler and Hales batting wise…

Humble apologies to Andrew Tye, seems to have few more tricks than I first thought, whilst the last 2 rubbers have been dead, good to see him bag a few wickets…touch wood he is that death bowler can use in the WC…

The new stadium on TV looks great…esp with a full house…

Aussies did pretty well I reckon.AJ bowled very well, that cringe worthy A/Hole Healey was eating a whole load of humble pie today. He is one commentator that really grates on me.Worse than dragging your finger nails over a black board.
Also well bowled by Mitch Marsh. He looks like he is over his shoulder issues.Bowled at over 140 a lot of times today.

Great start for cricket at Optus Stadium.Tight match big crowd, barmy army streaker lolol
Well done to England on there 4-1 ODI victory.Great response after the Ashes thrashing.

Kamikaze batting by both teams but especially Australia when they only needed 4.5 per over at one stage with 7 wickets in hand. No batsman wanted to hang around and anchor the chase. Paine tried but it was too late. Great figures for Andrew Tye but most of his wickets were handed to him on a platter

Mike what did you think about the pitch.New Stadium new curator. Heard today the MCG poached our Waca curator.

To the streaker…what a fkn idiot. If he had half a brain, which I suspect he doesn’t, do you think he would be proud to tell his kids and grandchildren that he was the first streaker? Still, he was a Pom by all reports…

And $5000 poorer. And a Police charge. So my guess he will probably lose his passport.

Mike, I think you are a bit harsh on AJ. They just weren’t able to read his knuckle balls. He gets wickets the same way in the BBL.They couldn’t get him away, so resorted to trying to blast him out of the attack.
Marsh was looking good during his inning and very unlucky to be caught in that fashion.Twice now he has been dismissed by blinding catches.

The streaker plays footy out Toodyay way so he’s no pom

Thats a shame for Toodyay, either way he’s a moron who should be banned from OS for life.

played a reserves game for Subi in 2015, no surprise with his behaviour after hearing that.

and he has started a go fund me page, asking for donations to help pay his fine???

yes but he also spent a couple of years at Perth where he played 22 colts games prior to that so I guess that’s we he learnt his bad behaviour. but agree the guy is a knob and he won’t be getting a brass razoo from me.

Those security guards looked pretty pathetic trying to chase the bloke. Hopefully we don’t have something serious happen and have to rely on them to save people. Maybe they were still celebrating their win over the South Africans the night before.

No Finch ?

We need to keep this in perspective that the main game of the summer was to win the ashes which Australia did convincingly. Its unfortunate that Smith is now beating himself up because of his one day form but its less than a month since his team regained the urn by a 4 - 0 margins. The Poms can celebrate their consolation prize and are a much better one day team than we are but Australia still have 18 months to build till they have to defend the world cup and this series has been a good one for finding out who may or may not be in this squad. Onwards to South Africa.

Good win by the Australian Under 19s team in the World Cup Semi Final who defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets to advance to the Final against either India (favoured) or Pakistan.
Afghanistan (who smashed NZ in the Qtr Final by over 200 runs) will be ok in the future they have some good young spinners and some decent bats, I believe they have now been given Test status along with Ireland.

Fifth ODI sold out yet over 10% capacity vacant. Is this what is expected with members failing to front or did they only sell 54,000 tickets?

The capacity is only 55k for cricket due to the blocks of covered seating used for the sightscreen.
