Should be on the increase after last year,…
So how much is the admission price being dropped to?
Bl**dy Great Point!
If they’re adamant in cutting the Budget,at least give Patrons something back,…..
Hearing Crickets already though,…..![]()
Honestly it’s hard to believe how far this has slipped off someone’s radar
there was a time when they couldn’t print enough to meet demand
and it’s a pity the modern website of football is utter rubbish
and yes I did take a waste of my time look at the VFL site
geez that’s a bizarre thing that fecked up shit
I think the writing was on the wall when Media Tonic gave up control of the Budget. More’s the pity
Media Tonic was the publisher of the Western Australian Football Budget prior to the 2021 season, taking over from Wright Media in 2008 and continuing until the end of the 2019 season. Following the 2019 season, control of the publication was handed back to the Western Australian Football Commission (WAFC).
A one off budget listing players and their junior clubs would be useful. Maybe the footy Commission could organise that.
If it works, a mid season update. We could take that budget to each game.
If the Football Commission get all Sullen,Stamp their Feet and refuse to print off something for the Patrons, maybe the Clubs can produce Team Sheets each Week(including Away Games and Finals)and at the 1st Game of the Season proper, produce Senior and Colts Teams, plus heck, even Futures and WAFLW Squads!
GIVE THE WAFL FOOTY PUBLIC SOMETHING IN PRINT IN 2026!
How come SWFL can have a budget better than WAFL was.
Yeah.
And assuming their Budget is still going, kinda puts the WAFC to Shame, whichever way you cut it!
It’s the WAFL clubs who knocked back WA Football to fund the 100k a year for the budget - wanted the money elsewhere presumably. Should be up to WAFL clubs to provide something if they choose to. Easy to bash the central body. No different to a lot of issues that WA Footy cops a wrap for but ultimately there seems no common vision amongst the clubs and has clubs continue to be at loggerheads over varying issues pertaining to the WAFL.
Why did they put it on the Clubs or the Boards/CEO to Vote on that in the 1st place? And then Vote that way?
Did they have NO option but to Vote that way?
The WAFC can clear all this up,from the Person at the Top(Yes Ian,that’s You!),rather than getting someone else to do so and NOT hide behind any BS Terms, like the Classic,“Commercial Confidence!”
But I won’t hold my breath!
And I Don’t mind you splashing out 75K on Peter Bell’s job.Good Luck to him! So,where’s the $$$ for the Football Budget?
Because the WAFL is in the main run by the clubs with WA Footy servants to the WAFL Clubs. Clubs that don’t get their way generally go to an empathetic ear on the Board of WA Footy to intervene.
And Peter Bell’s funding is mainly a directive through the AFL funding and from all reports has been a terrific operator. Remember the aFL has caveats on where their funding goes.
Its a really poor organisational structure WA Football. Needs a review and overhaul and mandatory commitments from WA afL clubs to contribute more - It seems lost that WA Football holds the licence for the two clubs. Their boards should not sit above WA Football no matter how better experienced they are than Commissioners.
Certainly agree with that last bit.
Still mystified as to why in their Right Mind, they would sign away something ICONIC in WAFL Footy as the Football Budget.
The PFL have a marketing person who creates a budget for Grand Final day that is all downloadable.
You can’t tell me the WAFC doesnt have a marketing boffin that can’t create a downloadable free budget.
its rare someone doesn’t have data these days. My father n law doesn’t but he is the only person I’ve met at 85 that doesn’t use the web.
Fenceless WAFL matches,No football budgets, mediocre GF crowd between 2 traditionally strongly supported teams,an ageing dwindling supporter base………I really don’t know where we go from here.
Maybe not the place, but in regards to the two AFL clubs, I read where on a sports broadcast that Simon Garlick was doing that he has initiated talks with the WAFL about how to help.
I wish I could remember where it was and which station it was on.
But I will look futher to see if I can find the piece.
Challenge WESSSTTERRRNN Australians to prove they really are by -
1 - NEVER doing their Shopping on a Saturday.
2 - Manage a few Hours at WAFL Footy, instead of the Pub.
Drinks are available at the Footy.
3 - Drag themselves off the Couch. If you want to hear the WAFL Commentary, set it up on your Phones.
Dump AFL Games if you REALLY Hate Victorian Teams.
Applicable to Fox Footy/Kayo viewers.
Dump Rubbish Repeats on 7Mate,if there’s no Telecast of WAFL Footy.
Applicable to 7 Viewers.
If you have a PFL Bye and there’s No Eagles and Dockers on Saturday Afternoon, feel free to wander down to your nearest WAFL Veue.
4 - And Please,move ALL Weddings to the Wedding,from October to February,……
More suggestions welcome!
720FM or 102.5 FM?

Do people think if WAFL or PFL moved to Sunday football, the WAFL attendance would change a bit? Certainly not expecting an extra 5K at every game but maybe 1000?
WAFL attendance is never going to improve while 10000 people go to Ammo footy every Saturday along with 60K going to an AFL game. The one that suffers the most is the WAFL.
No, I think it was one of the commercial radios.
May have been SEN in the morning with Mark Duffied
