No Football Budget this year

I have been informed there will be no Football Budget this year, either printed or digital. This is a disgraceful decision and will only encourage people to stay away from the WAFL.

Oh,good grief!

Here we go again!

That’s a disgrace. No respect for the traditions of the game.

The Football Commission are Full On about a Moss St fence, which they won’t have to fork out a cent for,but they’re not prepared to fund a cent into the ongoing status of the Football Budget?!

Seems a strange decision. It was good last year by the end of the season. Very disappointing.

Did you hear that on Sport FM or elsewhere,swansfan4llife?

Email. The clubs have decided there will be no printed or PDF Football Budget this year.

What are the Clubs playing at here?

Or more to the point, the Administrators of each Club?

Not even a downloaded version? That can’t be right.

The WAFC as the owner of both the afl franchises here could get the both of them to fund a weekly footy budget by demanding an increase in the royalties they should be delivering each year to fund WA football but for some reason they dont and the WAFL follower is all the poorer for this lack of leadership!

Even with the current Roalties,it should have been an easy task to fund the Football Budget with some of that!

They’ll Eagerly Point to the Clubs’ Administrators in saying they did it,but I’ll betcha they won’t tell us how or why it fell on their shoulders to even Vote on it and in one particular direction!

And if the Online component packs it in,footy fans have no way of referring to the Players they want to refer to!

Unless they’re planing on introducing each player Individually before each game?

Very time consuming, but if they’re prepared for later finishes,…..?

There would hardly be a week go by when the WAFL app doesnt crash and cant be used!

And they made the decision THEY DID,knowing that FULL WELL!’

So Again,What on Earth are THEY Playing at?!

If this is the case, it is an absolute disgrace. We produced the budget for 20 years and although we didn’t make a great deal of money, it was a passion. We had to hand it back to the WAFL as there was no financial support for the product. Such a shame.

Agrre with your sentiment, though was it the WAFL you handed it back to or the Football Commission?

Yes, they started doing it in house. Changed size to A5 and started charging the clubs as there was very little advertising in the publication.

Very little content, either.

They are unbelievable!

Loved the budget, but given the cost cuts at WA Football - not surprised. Remember this competition is only viable due to a significant grant going to WAFL clubs each year.

Would be nice if Fremantle started pulling their weight on their royalties back to WA Football front!
