New WAFL Footy Facts Website

With respect to AA selection - I will check my Swans’ Annual reports to see if it is included. If it is there, then presumably other clubs’ Annual reports may also have this info.

Hi Swan42

I have all the AA players upto and including 1984, and pretty sure I have all of them upto last year somewhere too. They can also be found on wikipedia here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Australian_team

Cheers

Round 4 review here (includes SF v WP game already) http://waflfootyfacts.net/Review_r4_2013.html

Quarters and Halves added to WAFL records section (still need to add a few more details though) http://waflfootyfacts.net/QtrHalfRecords.html

What an incredible site. The ultimate stats page. Well done love it

Thanks Cardy!

Comperehensive review of round 4 up on the site.

Lots of streaks broken this round including the Sharks droughtbreaking run against Subiaco at home and Perths winless streak against Swans at Bassendean both coming to an end.

Updated the quarters and halves section to add record margins at end of each qtr.

Hi all

Update:

New 2013 season scores and results section added with [see more] links added to each game to access the game reciew. This page is accessible from the Seasons button and by clicking on 2013, or directly on this link http://waflfootyfacts.net/Seasons/2013/scores.html

The game reviews are still available on the home page by clicking the round link. I think I have made the reviews much more indepth and easier to follow. Here’s a link to round 4’s review: http://waflfootyfacts.net/Seasons/2013/rnd_4_review.html

The team links now link to a new team index page which will include more detailed team review. i have plenty of placeholders to complete the data on these pages. Game Records for Claremont, East Frem, East Perth, Peel and Perth have been added, the others to be added shortly. The old Team pages can currently still be accessed from the new Team button on the home page. Here’s Claremonts new page for example http://waflfootyfacts.net/Teams/Claremont/Claremont_idx.html

Thanks for your interest, love some more feedback - good or bad…

Cheers

Nice layout and facts about each game that are unavailable elsewhere. Certainly interesting and will be looking forward to them each week on every game.
Find your tips on the main page helpful as well but find the Margins a bit out IMO
For example the SD game being close with SF and the Margin with the WP v Peel game being a bit unrealistic even considering the past record of Peel playing at Joondalup.
Past records dont amount to much as can be shown by the EF v Subi game last week.
Question are these your calculations or are the computer generated from a Data base?

Keep up the good work on a most valuable site for all WAFL fans.

Thanks again Cardy

The match predictions are automated by the software I use. I don’t necessarily agree with some of them, particularly the margins. Although some have been very close. I am not sure the exact formula that is used to calculate the predictions, although it takes into account previous records against the opponent on the venue, days of the week and time of the game, and I have it set based on the last 8 matches which covers roughly the last 3 years.

Added some short snippets for this weeks matches on twitter - if you don’t have twitter you can see my posts on the waflfootyfacts home page. Follow on twitter @waflfootyfacts
