Just logged in and the site looks quite good.
If, or when the other site closes, I am sure this one will fill the void left.
I have found several other sites to post on,but all are run from Victoria so they have a Vic perspective.
Hopefully this site can make a real go of it and be succesfull.

George let the cat out of the bag a little early, but I can honestly say its been a positive response. It will be a shame to see FG go though…
There is literally heaps of ideas that can be incorporated into a new site/forum, but only as I learn how to, and its certainly not something that can be done over a couple of weekends.
The site is pretty basic at the moment, but we are working on a look that is more footy specific.
I’m open to ideas, and will try my best - software and time permitting.

Been watching the site since George ‘let the cat out of the bad’ and it’s coming along quite nicely. Even if FG doesn’t fold, I think a few from there will gravitate here. From my perspective, I hope you don’t screw the conversation down too much. Sure, there’s some tools that take it too far on FG and should be censured. But I like the spit/spat and the cleverer and harmless insults that go on there. I think we all have a laugh, but if you stop all the spats, then you’ll end up with a sterile site like the WAFL chat site. It’s boring and they have their little “purple circle”. Anyway, only my thoughts…looking forward to what develops here.
No plans to screw it down… I think thats half the fun of FG.
Looks good so far, I would suggest adding a Facebook ‘Like’ button on the home page. This will be an easy that I can send out a message to my mates to join.
I am not much of a putor person so can you tell me if there is a place here where I can contact the mods or yourself Mike?

Went away from the site as I wasn’t in the market for hand bags, shoes or mens erectile medicine.. And the fact the Hawks and Sharks both lost their GF’s..

Have just signed up and this being my first posting. 
The site looks great. Was never a great fan of FG I need to admit. Hopefully can keep up with all the larest Wafl news.
I have sent the WAAFL’s twitter account this website. Hopefully they will publish it on their twitter feed and/or website.
Be good to have a forum ‘clean’ of spam again!
So far so good. Its on minimal spam protection at the moment, but can be ramped up quite quickly if need be.

i like the look of the new site. I’m not much of a poster but enjoy reading the news and banter between all. I look forward to doing that here now.
I would agree about the font within the reply posts does need to be slightly darker. That’s not a criticism but an observation. Maybe I need better spectacles?
I think it’s great coming to this site and not being buried alive with stupid bloody advertising and all the rest of the crap. :woohoo:
Font darkened the font to black, also added a new item to the side panel for those living in the past :whistle:
