Bit like Voges…did fark all v Eng and SA…averaged 28 and 7 respectively…ave 542 v WI and 99 v NZ…as you rightly say are minnows BH…struggled v SL surprisingly ave 19…but hey those subcontinent teams are tricky to play on their home decks
Well Mr K stepped up after Smith was declared unfit to play and reeled off a very handy 80. Bit of luck being dropped on 5 but made sure the Poms payed dearly for it. Would think that secures his spot for the rest of the series. Head will drop back down the order when Smith comes back and Inglis will be carrying the drinks imho.
Poor dismissal by Ingles, clearly just needed to shoulder arms and let the ball pass harmlessly to the keeper but had to feel bat on ball and played on.
Uzzie will definitely get his swan song now at the SCG - fickle game isn’t it
In all seriousness though, if they are playing him as a batter and batting him below the keeper, why are they not playing either Webster to get more overs, or Cooper Connelly? Cooper is the better long term option for Australia
Having got as far as he did, Uzzie should have converted but was one of 4 Australian batsmen who gifted their wickets to what was some pretty ordinary bowling. Archer was the only English bowler who looked threatening in any way. This is a 400+ pitch and Australia are well short of that.

All I am saying is that 12 months ago, as Uzzie suggested, Renshaw was just a black mark left behind and not in contention.
At that time, Uzzie was the only one.
Even now, we have nothing in concrete.
Looks like Uzzie press conference was an eye opener.

However Jason claims that before the Perth test.Uzzie played 3 ,six hours days of Golf.No training or net practice.(Cricket)
Then was planning to fly to Brisbane and do the same before the second test.
Believing the the Golf caused his back spasm.
Imo the sooner he leaves our test side the better.
