Mister khawaja

A 4 Test match suspension should suffice!!! :slightly_smiling_face:

he knew damned well he was injured to the point he couldn’t bat
but still played
saw the pitch was doing a bit
then decided he didn’t want a bar of that
got shit lucky one of his mates had a blinder to take the heat out
then decides to play with the media throng
and blame the wicket
after the ICC rates it
England will come after this dullard
and hard
he’s our weak link and they know it now
I’d rather they pitchforked Inglis in now
it might actually work until a kid like Kellaway is ready
Bailey has got to go

Understandable sentiment.

But CA will play out a Charade and give him a 2 Game Rest, rather than Suspension, which would be in Name Only!

Just to see if his bod’s right for the MCG.

Good performances from Kellaway and Konstas. In the Primisters X1 ,Canberra match.
Konstas might be a white ball cricketer.
Would have a crack at Kellaway.
Uzzie has to be the first of the senior players to go.Like what happened to Boon ,Dean Jones,Geoff Marsh.Everyone adventually gets pushed out.

I think it will depend on how the series is going. If Australia win in Brisbane, I cant see them changing the team. If Uzzie is not making any runs the pressure will start coming though, as it should. Kellaway is probably at the front of the queue now

I think Usman will be hard pressed to make the Brisbane Test,Mike.

Hopefully Kellaway gets left alone to keep developing his skills in the SS for the next 12 months - put Renshaw in…at 29/30 he should know his game much better then Kellaway…Weathereld and Renshaw should enable the likes of next generation in Kellaway, Dixon, Konstas, Wyllie et al to develop their skills etc.

Just reading the Daily Mail from the UK.
South Afican great Barry Richards.Saids four words can end Uzzies test career.
That is Travis Head saying
(I want to Open)
BR also claims that Uzzie had become an Ashes villian.

Konstas - white ball. You are on to something there

Konstas appears to only have two shots
the T20 one
and the leave alone that either bowls him
or is plumb LBW
bizarre how no-one has pulled him aside yet
rarely gets above 40 now in any innings

Well said Southy!!! Spot on.

The white ball flash in the pans come quickly ,and disappear twice as fast.

Khawaja out of the second test, does inglis open or head stay at the top and Webster come in as another bowler

Could be the end for Uzzie.
Makes the decision much harder now. Either Inglis or Head to open I reckon.Either way, I reckon it puts a lot of pressure on Wetheral.
And I see where one of their players said they will have to reel it back a bit with Bazball.

The latter I would say. Such a shame I had changed my tune I was hoping they would pick the c..t to really put him under the microscope and expose him to sledging by the Poms both on and off the field.

The Barmy Army and I have been denied a great spectacle. Would have sent ratings through the roof. I reckon now they’ll be hoping Australia get a stranglehold on this series and give Khawaja a soft send off, just how he likes it.

confirms my earlier suspicion Inglis was being shunted in - he’ll either open like that two day game or go into Head’s spot

As mikeh said, the fella has a test ave of 43 odd, and over 6000 test runs, nothing soft there…just a fella who is too old for the big stage…and over stayed his welcome by a year or 3 too many…most folk would kill for a batting average of over 40, at any level of cricket…

Take out those soft kills on Pakistani, Sri Lankan & Dubai roads Freeze and that average probably comes back to mid 30s where his ability really sits!
Dont remember him doing much in England, SA etc when we needed it most!

56 v New Zealand
