yes looks like Murray has left and Morton has come in. Good luck to Jarryd, hopefully can find his way into the league team in the xecond half of the season.
Is this the same Morton who played for Claremont last year after being delisted by hawthorn? If it is this is a huge coup for the club! He could be the kpp we have needed and he should provide ruck coverage as well!

West Australian Football League (WAFL) Williams Murray, Daniel Approved 2013-06-21 2013-06-21
The pleasing thing is that over the years this football club would not use this recruiting window of June 30th to pick anyone up so to pick up a player that really should be a top performer at this level is very pleasing.
Looks like Daniel Murray as been cleared to go to Mt Lawley.
Another player cleared to go there is Casey Sibosado.
Also if you read John Townsend’s match report from the Peel v East Perth game he says that a fair few players have walked out on the club thus leaving their reserves side in the state it is. Brad Bootsma had to pull on the boots!!!
Over in Victoria Blake Broadhurst seems to have been cleared to play for Balwyn.

Morton in theory for you guys should be a good get…though the problem with these Morton boys is they seem to lack heart, hopefully Jarryd can prove us wrong…good get for you boys, especially mid season.
Jarryd Morton played 20 games for Claremont last year and did play 20 odd games for Hawthorn.
He looked good in the ressies for us yesterday. By his own admission he is not quite up to league fitness but should be ready to go in a couple of weeks.
So how come Jarryd Morton is not playing at Claremont this year where has he been for the last 15 games?

My understanding is that after playing 20 games for Claremont last year he was dropped for the Grand Final and was not a happy chappy.
As a result he approached his Hawthorn mate, Chance Bateman, about coming over to Perth but our points cap was full and he has been playing in the country this season.
Now, having dropped Daniel Murray off our list, we have been able to fit Jarryd into our points cap and he seems happy to now be a Demon.
Can anyone else add anything?
Morton was dropped to the reserves for the last game of the season and played reserves for the finals. Should have been dropped earlier i thought, he was a bit of a turnover king for us. Actually has a bit of mongrel in him though and is a great size for a utility. Actually played a few games at chf for the Hawks - Hawthorn must have been struggling a bit.
Hope he’s playing league by the 24th of august.
