every club in Australia would be lining up for some of this dreamy magic - I showed some people this list and every single one of them burst out laughing and most of them said “is this a joke or on Facebook lala land”
out of curiosity do you really expect anyone to just gift your club this list ?

They are the ones knocking. I don’t expect it - but this is what would be acceptable. Perth are a 125 year old club. A wealthy club, a club with a successful history, a club who is about to start building facilities that should rival Claremonts.
A ten year deal. We would be the 4th of the traditional clubs to do it and the 5th WAFL club to do it (align with a WA based AFL club). There doesn’t seem to be too much of a stink on SF, Claremont or EP and Peel are neither here nor there in WAFL discussions.
This or something similar or perhaps better may be acceptable
there is a massive amount of ire at SF over the horrible hosting - it will never occur again in our club and we warn allcomers against doing it due to the damages to fabrics of a club and the losses of local talent that happen
you are dictated to and there is no altering that - you will be forced to play players where the master decrees
all junior development stalls and you basically hand over colts not drafted to other WAFL clubs - they line up waiting ask East Perth and Mandurah and definitely Claremont
so all your decent colts at Perth will just be handed out to others once they’re too old
and your zones kiss them goodbye forever you’ll just be a bitch club copping it up the arse every day every week until you just disappear like WCE want you to
So the club with most talented metro zone also has 3 players from their Albany country zone picked in the All Australian squad. Well done WAFC. CLAREMONT Colts and reserves finish on top losing a combined 3 games for the season. Fair competition? I think not.
Oh, and their struggling league team having a down season still managed to scrape into the top 5.
It was mentioned on WAFL World that if Stone didn’t accept their was whispers that a current coach could be coming in- anyone hear who it was?

Maybe we need your bloke. Is he out of contract and looking for some security that his salary is going to be paid? Bring a few players with him?

That’s what I feared……most of the others would be locked away- I’m not sure if I heard right though
Everytime I speak to a Perth person they always say they are very financial.
Well that’s terrific.
I can tell you and I’m sure I have said it before.
The copious amounts of money you speak about is held in trust.
The purpose of it is to ensure we don’t disappear from the face of the earth.
Which means that the only funds that can be spent on football is the interest earnt.
Not sure our cash flow would be any better than any other Club.

How much is held in trust?
Even with interest rates as high as they are at the moment, you’d want $1m to get any reasonable return from interest!
What constitutes disappearing off the face of the earth, if onfield success is a metric then you already have disappeared.

Good points TT. We have ~700k in Centurion Fund, regular operating profits through loyalty and good management making us, by annual report data, maybe in the fop 4 of ‘financial’ clubs. We haven’t been gifted a facility by fiat from an Emperor like you were either.
Which kissed on the cock zones are you prepared to give us to equalise the competition - the ‘golden mile’ from Mosman Park to North Beach; the Great Southern; or the Kimberley?
Maybe we could turn your constant failure into our constant success???
The Eagles alignment has been and gone.
Eagles will join the Afl reserves competition in 2028.When Tasmania enters the Afl competition.
Port have walked out on the Sanfl.Crows Sanfl are sick of the bias umpiring ,againt them..They will also leave the Sanfl.
Nisbitt was happy to keep the Wcer in Wa.Not sure what Pikes opinion is atm.
You’ve got a new $24m facility on the way, presuming your annual interest return isn’t funding that on its own, so state and local government are gifting you more than we ever received.
Once your building is finished what does it contribute back to the local or state government? The facility at Claremont has already paid back the investment by government and now brings in a source of income through stamp duty and rates. It’s the golden goose for ToC.
You don’t pay for maintenance of your grounds either, your footy daddy West Coast does that and they paid for your flash new scoreboard too and AFL standard oval lighting? Any sponsorship increase from West Coast moving in and MinRes oval naming rights? HJs etc etc. Talk about being kissed on the dick?
All these resources at little to no cost and you still can’t win enough games to give the top 5 a nudge. Again if our zone is so overflowing with talent then why isn’t your list full of C and EF players who can’t make our senior squad?
The reality is they’d prefer to play at any other WAFL club before Perth and most would prefer to play with their mates at Ammos or Country footy instead of Perth. Have a look at how many ex Claremont players are running around for Uni, Collegians, West Coast and Scarbs. Same with ex- EF players at CBC, North Freo etc
Trinity Aquinas’s best recruitment tool is Perth’s lack on success.
Is that the same footy daddy you were sucking the arse of in 1999? See the difference is Tristian, we’ve never been West Coast’s bitch and never will be. Unlike your mob.
Haha typical Perth supporter don’t deal with actual issue raised just deflect.
Yep 1999 Claremont West alignment was shit! We didn’t make finals ended it at the end of the season.
West Coast has already been your daddy for 5 years. Given that they’ve got their homebase at MinRes it’ll be another 30+years if not forever. No chance Perth can change that arrangement!
Hope you’re good at grabbing your ankles as only Peel has and will cop it harder than Perth. At least they’ve won a few flags doing it though.
Are they? Even if they are, it’ll be a short term deal 3 years maximum, similar to EP.
But your arrangement at Perth, that’s a lifetime prison sentence with your cell mate being more powerful than the WAFC warden. Have fun continuing to be West Coasts bitch.
We have far too many clubs in the comp, its ridiculous, the talent pool is too thin to produce quality games, I watched a heap of footy on 7 this year and the quality of the comp has really fallen away, very few high standard games, WCE reserves are a joke, Peel would be if they did not have shockers, WP have already been banrupted once , Perth are a basket case , constant talk of moving around zones, is just shuffling the deck chairs, make one club stronger apparently by weakening another - stupid logic.
We need to consolidate what we have and make stronger sustainable club units and mitigate the damage to others, mergers/alignments call it what you like but they are the only way forward with a comp that is struggling for relevance.
While not necessarily disagreeing with these comments, I think the talent is there, the problem as has been discussed elsewhere is that too many players are drawn to the amateurs or country footy.
Our salary cap is not competitive enough - that said I think some clubs would struggle to pay more than they currently are.
I don’t know how we get more money into the WAFL - we don’t have pokies like SANFL does. The WAFC certainly doesn’t care - as long as there is a talent pathway to the AFL they see their job as done.
