the WAFC got infiltrated years ago by that old shitrat Victorian Sheehan - he weaseled in Ablett as our state draftee chief
colts were even taken away from their clubs (if you can comprehend that fucked out logic that could only be dreamt up by a fucked out Victorian shitrat)
and nowadays we get held to ransom by a mob of tinkerbells in WCE who have made the decision that they aren’t going to pay up but demand more & more but issue threat after threat
local clubs don’t dare get big corp sponsors because WCE just get in the back door and poach them
Heard on 91 3 after today’s game that we’ve made big offers to poach Bill Monaghan and Steven Dodd from EF. Oh dear.
Lucky Brad is our Football Manager. Doubt they’re going anywhere

that would only be asking someone to break a contract
is that really where you want to be getting a club to the point of ?
there are people out there available

Brad then. Bill was a bit coy on his future apparently. Probably means Stone has said no.
DD has Perth FC got a process in place to get a new coach - is there a delegation or committee ?
Chris Mayne ???
[quote=“Dazzler post=237565 userid=1005”]Is that the same footy daddy you were sucking the arse of in 1999? See the difference is Tristian, we’ve never been West Coast’s bitch and never will be. Unlike your mob.

Yeah one year south gave it a go for one year as well, big deal , 25 years ago! ancient history and both clubs got stuff all out of it.
talk about clutching at straws, you jokers out there have gifted set up as stated.
While not necessarily disagreeing with these comments, I think the talent is there, the problem as has been discussed elsewhere is that too many players are drawn to the amateurs or country footy.
Our salary cap is not competitive enough - that said I think some clubs would struggle to pay more than they currently are.
I don’t know how we get more money into the WAFL - we don’t have pokies like SANFL does. The WAFC certainly doesn’t care - as long as there is a talent pathway to the AFL they see their job as done.

The Money ties into the Talent, there are simply to many mouths to feed, not enough money or talent to support this many clubs, we have been toweled up by SA in the last few state games, one club has already gone bankrupt and the there are couple on a knife edge, EF are in an almighty mess ground and finance wise.
I’ll be the first one to admit that the chances of SFFC existing in their current format in another 20 years is highly unlikely.
I think you might be surprised Bazza.
The Bulldogs are a pretty well-run Club.
If Freo piss off to AFL Reserves along with WCER, then I think Peel are the ones who may struggle.
They have never successfully run their own show with any success without the help of their Bitch.
Quinns Rocks Hawks (Aligned with West Coast) 10 years to get them on their feet.
This would:
Leave the traditional 8 alone.
Spread the talent out - away from Claremont WP and Subi.
Give WC their alignment (to a team still 20 minutes closer to Perth than Mandurah)
Spread the great game.
Make for 10 teams playing each other twice.
Easily affordable
Plenty of talent out there (ammos goes down to I Grade once you realise that C Grade has C1,C2 and C3 - all with reserves and colts), plus there is E1,E2,E3 North E3 South. Admitted E grade teams don’t have Reserves and often no colts.
Considering Doddy helped get Cody over to EF, and Bill was keen to have him at EF. I wonder if Cody goes back to Perth, as part of the Doddy and Billy poach…with Jono as a sweetner

in theory it might appear sound but
WCE are only waiting to follow the two SA clubs into the VFL reserves
apparently a suitable Victorian arsehole bitch feeder has not been willing to link up and that is the major factor as it stands
(rumour has it that WCE want or would like to screw Williamstown who have the same colours)
trouble is brewing in SA - the SANFL is almost at the end of their tether particularly with Port who think they own all SA footy and can do as they please
so Dick Kisser Dillon the CEO who doesn’t do bad press or give a flying fuck for local footy (unless it’s in Victoria) will give them what they want to get them all into Victoria
It would only thin out West Perths crowd a bit.
WC and Freo will piss off to the AFL resizes soon but until them build the brand in the north.
When they leave we will have the traditional eight and two newbies. It’s the way to go.
Also they Peel and Quinns Rocks could play in the BHP cup and not the WAFL (whilst aligned to the respective AFL lot) as I have said and explained before.
Or, as suggested on this forum previously, why don’t WC and Fre reserves just play in the WAFL Reserves comp. That way, all 10 teams in the reserves comp have the same goals so the WAFL league comp is not compromised as it is at the moment. Will WC and Fre dominate? Most likely but who cares?

On the ground the view is very different, membership base is rapidly ageing and attendances are poorer each year with age, I’m seeing a club in its death throws, The social club is now virtually nonexistent, trades only on game days now, down from 7 days a week in the 90s and has been flogged off to a private contractor.
The much-vaunted ground and club revamp has been talked about for decades, not a single plan has ever eventuated and hopeless council spends years in talk and design fests with nothing achieved.
I agree that the dockers and eagles days in the comp are numbered, the sooner we get the comp back to 8 clubs the better , the down side is the alignment cash dries up and local comp get pushed down even further as tier, its already struggling with AFLW profile , that would make it tier 4 or so, basically a suburban league.
What’s the future, real long term, maybe a merger with Amateurs , South ends up Merged with Peel, by then all the die Hards will be long gone, the only ones clinging on are those that remember the pre-eagles glory days, and they will be gone. The younger gen don’t care or relate in the same way.
together with the fact that the VFL directs ALL of it’s advertising blitz toward kids
the more glitzy pre-packaged hamburger it can shove in front of kids the better
they couldn’t care less about older people
they know the kids will pester the hell out of parents and get what they want
and their mobile phone app is the point of sale to kids
very little is aimed at junior state clubs - it is all about VFL funded clubs
this way everything is syphoned to the almighty VFL wankerism
this started with Demetrieu and definitely peaked under that piece of dogshit McLaughlan

AFLW was introduced to help dominate the media and artificially “grow” participation numbers, we know male junior participation numbers are pretty poor and falling, AFLW was getting toweled up by the Matilda’s until recently and the god-awful PR hole they feel into.
Either way the viability of the state leagues is hanging by a thread going forward.
First piece of the puzzle in place. Make that two pieces.
Step one - Brad Dodd appointed Football Manager.
