I see Geoff Valentine has left to go and coach Peel Thunder. Who’s the early favourite to be coaching the Falcons in 2022 as I bet you weren’t expecting to be looking for a new coach.
Amazing decision to leave a club that should be challenging strongly next year to go and be a Fremantle puppet. Maybe he’s worried about not getting paid at WP.

So he gets released by WP from his contract under the guise that he is moving up to an AFL linked/paid gig. Peel have only extended their alignment by one year and given indications they want to stand alone after next year. Also pulled out at the last minute after being told he had the EF job before accepting the WP job.
Be interesting to see if Harris wants the job.
Might not be the only established coach on the move. Could be a short hunt for the next WP coach.
Valentines chasing the money and a fulltime gig, cant be criticised for that, seems like an amicable parting with Joondy as they could have held him to the final year of his contract. Would not be surprised if Joondy already have someone lined up. Favourite son Harris would be an obvious choice and Joondy’s player list is pretty strong and getting stronger next year with Hutchings and Meadows returning, they will have close to the best midfield group in the comp.
Surely the reigning reserves premiership coach “Panetts” will be in the mix?
What about the “Super-Coach”?
Ha ha yes Roman how soon we forget. Remember if he goes to Joondy he wont have half a team++ of AFL players or the massive infrastructure/sports medicine and coaching assistants provided by Freo, he would actually have to do it like a real WAFL club and the last couple of seasons have shown he cant do that.
i was disapointed to see Geoff join the Chunder/Dorkers show, but understand the reasons.
As far as a new coach goes i would prefer an X player of the club, such as Harro, Blake Arnold, Dion Fleay or Paul Sanzone, one of those 4 would be my pick.
Who did they appoint?
Surely Harris would have been signed by now?
I heard we will know next week, but i don’t know who it will be.
I thought Valentine did a terrific job for Joondy, but if they can get favourite son Harris back in the chair plus those 3 returning players, they will be super competitive.
