Falcons Recruiting 2025

We have signed-

-Blake Weight-Key CHB/F from Glenorchy Tasmania (Won the competitions F&B in 2023) 23yo
-Roan Steele-Mid/Small Forward from Casey Scorpions 22yo

Some former Falcons returning to come I believe.

Brock Carter gone

Bugger, did his ACL and must want to go back to SA :frowning:

Mitch Pearce has definitly signed after his year off holiday, gee we missed him last year. A full time streagth and conditioning coach has been employed. Greeny was part time last year so to get a full time fellow with AFL/VFL experience is bloody great. Club is on the cusp of signing a big lad from over east, Mike Lowrey back as a forwards coach and a big name as an assistant coach.

The football club is pleased to announce a new position within the senor men’s coaching ranks for the 2025 season. Steven Armstrong has been appointed as our Senior Men’s Assistant coach. With 14 years’ experience in coaching.

Also recruited the Werribee S&C Coach full time, apparently he is a gun:)

GT is his name, and he is very much AFL standard.

After an extensive interview process, we are pleased to announce Gaetano Faranda as our new Head of Strength and Conditioning.

This newly created role will be full time and will allow all players at the club to have access to full time resources across all age’s groups and teams.

Gaetano had a very successful 2024 as the Head of Performance at the Werribee Football Club in the VFL. We all know how hard premierships are to win and the Werribee Football Club held the cup up in 2024 for the first time in over 30 years.

Winger bit of a shock to hear Noah Pegararo won’t be with us next season.Off to Melbourne apparently.Any news and views on a likely replacement?

Pegs may be gone for only one season, Blake Weight may fill the roll but there are a few blokes in the seconds that may make the grade.

Heard also Tom O’Donnell was back and maybe a few others who previously played. Can you shed any light on that? Good news if Pegs is only 1 year but he will be hugely missed.Best swingman in the comp.

Connor Klemke is back. We are still hopeful that the Rothams will return. There are other signings to be announced in a few weeks by all reports.

Thanks mate.

Good to see a lot of the players recommitting to the club again and that info being published on the club’s website. The communication hasn’t been that great from the club in recent years (not bad but could have been better). This site sometimes is the better option for news.Just a quick question to “the guys in the know “.Notice Callum Smith doesn’t appear on the senior players list.Thought he showed a lot at the end of last season and would be an important piece of the defence puzzle.Has he left or is it the usual numbers merry go round at this time of the year?

Fed, I am pretty certain he was on one of those resigned notifications on the club FB page a week or so ago. Big signing news being released this week and we have others announced soon.

Good to hear mate.We need to retain talent like that especially with the AFL predators grabbing players left right and centre (Gerryn next).Looking forward to those announcements.Unlikely to include J.Rotham and Prior (yet) but there is time (if they don’t get a second chance).

Rotham de-listed, Essendon looking at him. Keep an eye out, big boy from SA coming over.

Brock Carter was a big SA fella from memory, hopefully WP next SA big fella stays for longer.
