Just breaking…
Where did you see that Baz as there’s nothing on the WAFL site or in mainstream media?
So how does the bottom side on the ladder get breeched for salary cap? Were they paying people to sit in the old pig pen?

EP could be cleared if DT is right.
Wow. Well done JT doing the real work your former employer fails miserably at. Devastating for both clubs. Unforgivable.

I don’t think it’s worth ruining the 2025 wafl season over. They sound like pretty trivial offences.
And the joke?
East Perth recruited Randall from Peel in 2022 and then provided legal support for the player after he tested positive to the banned stimulant phentermine while playing for the Thunder in 2021.
Now he wants a clearance to Perth who are also in Salary Cap trouble.
If Perth gets docked 12 premiership points, does it carry over into 2026 and 2027 if they don’t have 3 wins next year?
Well said Johnny.
Personally, within reason, I think a club paying legal fees for a player - especially in drug testing related circumstances - should be totally acceptable. Usually it will be unexpected and although the player may be at fault there is still a duty of care for the club to do the best they can by the player. You want to help the player but can’t if it busts the cap - doesn’t pass the sniff test for me.
I hope Tom Percy goes big guns on the WAFC if EP get done - not right.
As for Perth, trivial as it may sound, its worse than what SF did - even if unintentional which it probably was. That said its ridiculous the lengths the WAFC will go to - its like an umpire making unnecessary decisions - the game is not about you - piss off.
Wasn’t Russell Clark at Mandurah for one of their big breaches ?
Suspect it is why he is out of Perth and why Perth got smashed with this one
Thing is as I said in another thread , there are fines & reductions in points plus cap reductions
East Perth will get the same punishments
This has to be seen to be believed,so we pay the legal fees of this ungrateful prick who now apparently wants to go to Perth,in a season when he didn’t play 1 minute of 1 game!!! I fervently hope no one at the club tries to talk him out of leaving as you don’t need characters like him at the club, but the WAFC should show some common sense here where we gained absolutely no on field advantage where the muppet was banned from playing and probably left us 1 short in our playing squad, but I’m sure sanity will not prevail, and this is just another nail in this dwindling ailing WAFL competition.
the WAFC fails miserably in regard to implementing a support program for injured players yet they can dish out penalties at whim along with making their own salaries way more than total club salary caps
Roberts is a prime example of greed
martin promised to have a support system in place several years ago
squat has been done
past time to flog the VFL licences and use the money at grassroots and stop the Optus free ride for the likes of Roberts

I would understand a points deduction if we paid someone like Mitch Crowden 20k over,as we wouldn’t have made a GF without him,but Randall was recruited in November 2021 when he was under a doping ban cloud. He from that point waited for the verdict of his doping ban which was unsuccessfully appealed, and the penalty ran halfway into the 2023 season, before he was deemed eligible to play,so the alleged breach for the 2023 season makes no sense,as the verdict and appeals were decided in 2022.
Fair chance Tom Percy will be able to pick holes in this one. On Randall, if it wasn’t so ridiculous I would be upset. Over rated player Perth would be sensible to keep that poison away from their club.

Yeah I think I may have over rated him as he’s a good size and has fair skills, but his leg speed which was exposed in the GF,and his character leave a lot to be desired.
I would say it is a good possibility that East Perth would want a refund of the legal fees they paid to support Randall in addition to the standard transfer fee.
As good a player Perth may think Randall is, I don’t think they would want to pay all that considering they have their own breach problem.
In the 17 matches Randall played for East Pert in 2024, the WAFL Website had him in the best 5 players on only 3 occasions. Having said that, it is very possible that if Randall had remained at East Perth, he could have become our number one midfielder.
Given that he would’ve moved up the midfielders’ pecking order with Mitch Crowden and Angus Schumacher moving to the SANFL, I’m perplexed as to why Michael Randall would want to leave East Perth.
I’m convinced it’s connected with this salary cap “breach” - perhaps someone at the club “put a rocket up” him because of it and he’s decided “I’m outa here”.
Based on his demeanour when sitting on the interchange bench, Mickey seemed a very friendly, likeable bloke but that all counts for nothing now.
I would hope that in addition to the standard transfer fee, East Perth would want a refund of the legal fees they paid in Randall’s drug trial.
As good a player that Perth may think Randall is and considering their own breach problem, I can’t see Perth wanting to fork out a huge sum for one player..
Yes Arch, Randall did seem to enjoy the banter between himself and the Members. Unfortunately, if he ends up wearing any colours other than black and blue, he won’t want to come anywhere near the East Perth side of the Interchange area during matches at Leederville. The banter will still be there, but it will be anything but friendly.
I hope that in addition to the standard transfer fee, East Perth would want a refund of the legal fees they paid in Randall’s drug trial.
As good a player that Perth may think Randall is and considering their own breach problem, maybe they won’t be the Club wanting to fork out a huge sum for one player..
