Easy win

Feels like a percentage boosting win went begging there… 1.7 and 4.9 speaks volumes, poor kicking is poor football as they say. Nice spread of goal scorers… and point scorers it seems. Definitely got the rub of the lime in the free’s stats…but many games you don’t, so take it whilst it comes your way.

Sounds like the gastro bug hit the PFC big time, on and off the park, even amongst their fans, going by what folk can decipher on the Perth thread.

Reckon Trump would of approved of JMarsh rattling a few Perth cages yesterday, nothing like a bit of behind the play, off the ball banter…yeah no doubt the woke folk will be bleating for a suspension, and probably will get their inclusive voices heard…sign of the times I guess.

The wind definitely seems to have a bigger effect on games at the new development. Yesterday our opponents failed to score a single goal into the wind and generally displayed poor skills throughout the game, failing to hit targets and instead gifting us possession time and again. In the final term they could muster just 1 measly behind and were only spared a 15 or so goal shellacking by our own wayward kicking at goal.

To miss goals you have to create opportunities though and our use of the ball up the ground and movement of it was generally very good. Also our tackling and general pressure was superior to the opposition’s. Probably the smallest player on the ground, Milan Murdock led the way with 9 tackles. Jansen was also good in this respect with 8. In the forward 50, Cody Leggett’s pressure was excellent - though was an offender in the errant kicking.

Murdock was probably our best yesterday. Joyce and Eardley were also standouts for us. The later part of a defensive unit that collectively had its most cohesive performance of the season so far. Keeping our opponents to just 3 goals after quarter time (one of which was the result of a soft 50 metre penalty) was an outstanding effort.

Generally a pretty even performance across the board with all players contributing. Tommy Bennett deserves a mention and stood out yesterday with 22 disposals, 5 tackles and 2 goals. Strads and Blakiston shared the ruck duties and worked well in tandem which is another positive. I also liked the game of Jono Marsh yesterday especially his physicality. Loved seeing him flatten out a few players and chipped in with a couple goals. One a 50 metre bomb that curled back nicely with the breeze (right in front of a couple of dozen travelling flogs) after being felled off the ball.

Geez that would of peeved off a few of the Perth diehard then Ti Em seeing that 50 m + bomb go through the big sticks.

JMarsh is his own worst enemy at times, but one of those sorts, that when on song, has all the physical attributes to be a match winner…no doubt he will come a cropper before the season’s end, but that’s footy I guess…celebrate the wins, and don’t dwell too long on the losses or look for excuses like blaming the umps, or opposition players being egotistical narcissistic bullies…speaking of the latter…howz Trump going these days…still winding up the woke no doubt…onya Jono, learnt from the best…

I think there can be a tendency to point out the shortcomings of others yet judge ourselves in much more favorable terms. The Marsh Jono is with doubt a great clubman and certainly the club valued his performance yesterday as they have listed him as our best player. In the eyes of EFFC he was best on ground yesterday!

For me Milan Murdock was our best and interesting to note he received 5 free kicks yet gave away none himself, which suggests that there may have been more than one bully at Good Grocer Park yesterday afternoon.

I wish we had Jono!
He crunched Richards with a hell of a tackle vs Subi, he’s still out of action!

If you want a good chuckle, head over to the Perth thread. Those peanuts would blame the water carriers if they could.

The Perth support was pretty funny at the game yesterday too. If they weren’t sooking over the umpiring, they were verbally abusing our players. When their players trudged off after the game, they then gave them a standing ovation - as if it were they that had just won by 50 points!

Gee you are up and about CS.

If you are a new member all good - post and learn.

Do try and remember why you walked away with your tail between your legs last time though - if you are indeed a returning commentator.

I didn’t walk away, it was the zones!

Great win by the Sharks - crowd certainly got into it with a few spot fires just before half time. Jono Marsh goal from reversed free kick was pure theatre and broke the camels back. Perth tried to mount a challenge - but we wore them down and they were a little lucky win didn’t kick straight as it could’ve been a proper thrashing

On form, Leggett should be in the State team

Cheapshit, some free advice: if you are going to try to be funny, make sure it lands. “I didn’t walk away, it was the zones” doesn’t even make sense. Also, don’t verbal Perth fans - everything you have said about blaming external factors for losing is a flat out lie.

Just because you didn’t understand the joke Ted, doesn’t mean it missed the mark!

How many posts over how many years from your fellow Perth supporters offering up external factors for losing would you like quoted?!?

A few of my favourites include number of private schools when Perth has 3 your zone, same as Claremont, whilst other clubs have none! And who could forget how many fast food restaurants there are on Albany Hwy having an impact on the talent in your zone.

FFS theres been nothing but excuses offered up.

Good to see Perth having a better season so far, still the same number of private schools in your district and probably more fast food restaurants on Albany Hwy…so need to ask what’s changed?

Heard a whisper Ollie Eastland is on the radar of one particular AFL club in the MSD Tigger. But alas you have a plethora of 199-200cm players on your list I lost count and that’s not including 206cm Kalin Lane.

How do you do it? Must be the lack of junk food restaurants on Stirling Hwy forcing them to eat mum’s home cooked dinner or maybe the nanny?

Heard a whisper did you…more like making up more rubbish DD. You’re well known for that, been doing it for years about Perths performances. Guess it just comes naturally for you now, do you realise you even do it?

If Eastland does get drafted then good luck to him. The opportunity to play the sport you love at the highest level professionally is a dream I’m sure all WAFL players have. At 27 the opportunity may have passed him by though.

Eat the Nanny? Do you have a Fran Drescher fetish DD?

An opportunity, true, but probably only to languish in the vfl

Filthy mind you have Tigger or maybe you grew up with a nanny. I’m sure some filthy rich people have nanny’s that also cook.

How good was Leggett on the weekend! Glad he saw the light and escaped the excuse riddled rabble when he could! Has a flag too!

I’ve met Cody and his Dad. You sound like him.

He show you his premiership medal?
