Agree DD, you wouldn’t want the WP treasurer anywhere near the PCC coffers. I heard a rumour he’s talking to the accounts people at Subi FC, now that is a step in the right direction B)
Credit to the guy for putting his hat in the ring. Many have a winge about whats happening at the PCC but he has the drive to have a go and hopefully make a difference.
Zempilas is a cocky smart arse, one of his great strengths is also his biggest weakness, his confidence. Heard him yesterday morning say “I know what it’s like to win an election”. I’m sure Di Bain wish she got the extra few hundred votes she fell short by to knock him off his lofty perch.
Gone to his head already. Typical WP man, they think they can get away with anything and as has been proven time and time again, they do. I see they are also rolling out the red carpet for a convicted wife and mother basher. Classy stuff.
No one i know would be offended by those comments and its a fair stretch to say the general community would be,but the P.C. brigade would tell you otherwise.
He stated the bleedin’ obvious but in this current climate of extremist PC it was ill advised by a public figure. The “special interest” groups are pursuing him ruthlessly for what was a silly mistake but not a hanging offence. They wont be satisfied until any form of free speech or opinion not matching their own is wiped out. Sadly Basil’s embryonic political career may be over before it began. It’s a bloody joke.
I’ll be buggered if I can see anything wrong with what he said. All he did was state the bleeding obvious. I’m starting to feel like the Poms years ago when they said, they knew about it, then they tolerated it, then made it legal, so time to leave before they make it compulsory.
