I would imagine the make up of the pitch since then will be different.
It was almost the expected win tonight.
The two queries were Smith and Starc. Smiths failure left the Sixer at least 30 short. It would have taken a Herculean performance from Starc to get the Sixers back into the game.
As was said on Fox, the inclusion of the best batsman and best bowler in the World, onlg covered cracks in the squad.
Payne was outstanding with the ball. Just shows that absolute pace is not needed for success.
Connolly just keepscgettin early wickets. The rest of the bowlers just did their job. Stopped boundaries and sixes. Squeezed the life out of the opposition.
Marsh an Allan set the scene and set the game uo. A shame a few threw their wickets away.
A very comfortable win
Great win by the Scorchersā¦never in doubt, consummate team performanceā¦not reliant on anyone individually for team siuccessā¦though I did wonder if Crouch was getting some UTTI from the Sixers, for gifting them another 26 runs, with his bowling and fieldingā¦
Well Done to the Scorchers!
9 - 3 overall Record said they Deserved to Win and they Duly did!

Great win by the Scorchers.
Fantastic sporting moment for Wa.
Was surprised by the demographics of the supporter at the BBL final.
Lots of young familys.Large percentage of people under the age of 30.With as many young ladys as men.
Anyone who thinks BBL is not good for Cricket .Just needs to see who goes to the games in Perth.
I see it as good for the money side, but has a detrimental affect on the longer form of the game
Batting has never been worse GTR.
So true mateā¦the folk who go, only want a quick fixā¦like most things in lifeā¦maximum return for minimal effort.
BH thoes fans are the next generation of test match ,fans.
I only went to 1 this Summer to see the inner workings of the Dome.
Not bad, apart from 1 funny lift that suddenly decided to stop working.

Maybe, maybe not GTR.
As Freeze alluded to, BBL fans are not necessarily in to proper cricket, more likely just a few hours out on the turps watching some hit and giggle.
But there are some of us that can enjoy both for what they are-
Proper - Test Cricket (lifetime memories)
Hit & Giggle - BBL (forgotten the next day or 2)
You have to take your hat off to the Scorchers. After missing the finals last year they moved on Berendorff and Tye which gave opportunity to young blokes like Beardman who was a crucial part of the finals they played. Finn Allen had a brilliant season (how they picked Harper ahead of him for player of the season is mind boggling). Payne was a great inclusion and Evans fit in well although he didnt need to do a lot. Not big name recruits but they all filled a role in the team. In contrast Babar Azam did nothing for the dollar he was on and kept Jordon Silk out of the team
The Scorchers didnt miss a beat even though they lost Paris and Agar early in the campaign.
Sixers whinging about the rain and travel was a bit rich.
Voges will certainly be hot property for T20 franchise cricket once he has completed his commitments with WA this season.
The crowd is a massive factor at Optus, particularly in finals. Scorchers have a culture that is the envy of the BBL
Morris out injured as well Mike.
Connolly should be bowling his 4 overs, Couch pretty much was surplus to needs as he simply only bowls the one type of delivery half track rubbish he needs to develop a yorker/low full toss as he is constantly being smashed around the park with that short crap!
Itās a pity players like Fanning and Curtis (1 game each) and Jackson, Kelly and Rocchiccioli (0 games) didnāt get a chance to show their wares except for the odd overs of fielding.
Does anyone else think there should be a rule that every player in the squad should play at least a minimum of games?
No, pick the best team available or horses for courses.
Having a consistant 11 makes it a better team.
Have to have good back up when it is needed.Like Connolly bowling overs not provided by Agar.Due to injury.
Also the other kid, that stepped in a couple of times. He has been blooded.
Having to play all squad members only adds tot he āgive am all a medalā.
Only minus for the Scorchers was the inclusion of Brody Crouch. I think played all games.Took only five wickets at over 200 runs.
Not really Mate.
That sounds like something out of Junior Foity, where all the kids get a go.
Which might be fine for Junior Footy, but not at this level in any sport(BBL upwards).
Does anyone think Steve Smith should be charged with Dissent, with some of his carry on?
Wayne Clark certainly thought he showed it in the BBL Final, speaking on Sports Breakfast.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge since that Inglorious Tour of South Africa and in effect,2 of the 3 protagonists from Australia, have been forgiven to some extent.
But Steve Smith seems to act sometimes as though heās bigger than the game, particularly his frequent complaints about movement around the sight screens,as opposed to in front of or above it!
Then his intimation straight away,he was not LBW,then complaints about the players not coming off the ground when the rain started to tumble.
Whilst I imagine I would have taken the players off for a short delay if I was Umpiring,to me the rain would have disadvantaged the Batsmen trying to focus, whilst the rain was coming down steadily.
Iām aware that 5 of the Scorhersā Overs had to be bowled to constitute a match, but did Steve Smith seriously believe the rain was going to last,to potentially get a No Result?
Thoughts?
@oledemonbod101 at times he certainly sails close to the wind.I am surprised that at times the umpires have not spoken to him, either on field or after the days play.
The sight screen stuff I understand. Just appears that what some think are people that know the game, really have no idea.
The rain issue, as Moses said when he was being interviewed on field on Fox, they probably would have done the same thing.
The umpires and ground staff knew that the rain was going to clear It really wasnāt up to Smith to make comment.I do not listed or watch C7 and their commentary, but I think he expressed his anger while being interviewed by C7.
He certaainly divides many on a lot of things.
Good topic mate.
Ta.
Batsmen in particular are entitled to pull away when thereās movement too close to the sightscreen.
I reckon a few thought Smith stretched his argument too far, when it was thought,he shouldnāt even be glancing his sight from the line of the delivery.
The Ice Cream lady was one such example.
The one time he was right to complain was when Members of the Crowd jumped the gun, thinking the Over had been bowled, not realising a No Ball had been called on the 6th delivery of an Over.
Maybe he has great peripheral vision.
I used to think it was a myth, but my eye specialist said it was a real thing.I was told mine was exceptional.
Never helped me sports wise, but was nice to know.
