Think āAbout bleedin timeā is more apt mikehā¦..the PFC are lucky to have the fans as loyal and resilient as they have. Gonna be one helluva party if/when it happens. Hopefully for many PFC fans on here, it happens whilst they have the CPU capacity to acknowledge it, and celebrate it

Hard to see how Peel could lose it from here. I think Iām right in saying that Freo have no injuries at all. Even if they do pick up a few between now and GF day, theyāll still have 10 AFL listed players available. This is not throwing in the towel - just the facts. And probability of overcoming an AFL reserves side on the day will be difficult for whoever makes it through to play them. Letās see how Claremont go on the weekend.

As royalucky said, it is not the number of players, but their quality which is propelling PT. WCER have had 17 players the last few weeks, and have been far more competitive, but they have the like of Barnett, Miles-Wrency, Owies, Hall, Rodriguez, T Williams, who would play reserves at most WAFL clubs. When you add another half dozen second rate top ups, they have 10-12 sub par players even on a good week. Recently PT have had Cox/Darcy, OāMeara, Wagner, Banfield, Sharp, Walker, Davies, Draper, McDonald, Scerri. Plus they have Tardew as a top recruit and solid home grown players.
Someone else made a good point that rival clubs should allow PT to play all their listed players. The rationale is that the bottom 5-6 Dockers players would be a lot worse than local players who have come through their colts. Further, it would open up PT to be raided by WAFL clubs. Keeping players who feel they are blocked from league footy has long been a problem for PT, but it would be acute now - if they went in with 18-20 Dockers players, plus a recruit or two, that leaves literally 2-3 places for local players. Time to end PT, make it a standalone reserves team and allocate their zones.

Credit where credit is due Grassyā¦.Flynn took over after Strnadica went off, and his WCE cohorts took advantage of his dominance. Itās, gonna get nasty for EF v Peel and Perth over the next fortnightā¦ā¦but play the youngsters and get some game time in to themā¦..will be a good learning experience for the youngsters getting a taste now, on how quality players go about their business.

Doggies v Claremont the big game next week. East Perth, Peel and Perth should win the others. Subiaco have West Perth the week after their bye, so they should get back on track. Subiaco have the ability to make finals if they can just put 4 quarters together. They were irrepressible in the last term yesterday after going missing for about an hour
Will keep a close eye on Peelās Fremantle contingent,given the changes they had to make this weekend.
It probably wonāt hurt them against the wobbling Dharks,but they will HAVE TO send someone up to Freo to cover Hayden Young next week.

Maybe only 1 week,but poor old Young has been cursed again,ā¦.
And weāll probably need to keep a close eye on West Coast,to see on Thursday Night to see if they need to cover Waterman and Reid.
They say the injury concerns are minor and should play next week.Iām not so sure of that and if they miss next week,theyāll need to send 2 up from their WAFL Team to cover their absence.
If thatās the case,weāll probably only find out who on Saturday night,if they are allowed to wait that long to name their WAFL Team.
I guess weāll follow suit,if the Football Commission allow West Coastās opponents to do the same in timing their release of the Team Selected!
Knee injury mateā¦..hopefully nothing major, but coincided with Flynn getting WCER back in the gameā¦ā¦though EF ill discipline didnāt helpā¦..Smartt losing it and giving up a 100m penaltyā¦..and a few costly misses that could of stifled WCER momentumā¦..not to beā¦..and EF reaped what they sowed.

Think we can just about rule out West Coast now with their poor percentage, so its down to 6 teams battling for 5 places. Well probably 5 teams battling for 4 places given Peel are way out in front. Assuming Subiaco beat West Perth next week, they will move into the top 5 at the expense of the Royals but still lots of twists and turns to go in the season yet

A few big games next week. East Perth v Claremont at Leederville will be vital. The Royals seem to have the knack of beating the Tigers so if they get a few players back after the bye, they are a huge chance. Subiaco off to Mandurah to try and knock off the Thunder, tough job but not beyond them. West Coast can keep their finals chances alive with a win over the Joondy boys
Reckon itās Claremontās best chance of knocking off the Royals after some very frustrating afternoons against them.the past few outings.
If they donāt,all of sudden their difficult season gets even worse and a bit of pressure of Prescot regarding the business end of the year,gets magnified,ā¦surely the Tigers Win this one?
Subi would just about need to start an ill in brawl to get near Peel,but short of that,enormous pressure on Peelās gun players might go some way to an upset.
West Coast will need to send 1 or 2 up to cover Baker(Suspended)and Reid(bizarre ankle injury).Can the Cardies knock off 14 - 17 eagles listed players,after an unlucky Loss last week?
South on a Bye look forward to getting Strom and Ruscoe back,but potentially lose Matty Parker to a Hamstring Issue again.Heās really had it tough this past year with Injury and the Competition and South are poorer for his absence.
So has Blake Schlensog and Demons supporters will be fervently hoping a slight niggle is only that and heāll be good to go after the Bye.
Swans possibly lost a chance to keep their Finals chances aluve,whilst their Reserves practically locked up Top Spot and a 2nd Semi Final Date,unfortunately at Peel unless Peelās Reserves play in the 1st Semi,in which case they could be at Claremont,Fremantle or Lathlain.
East Fremantle,brave in their showing against Perth are probably out of Finals action,can start playing for next year in pushing up talent from the Reserves,but not Colts which seems odd given the positions of both teams in those competitions.
Things are warming up and whilst itās difficult getting past the Freo hype,Iām just wondering if 70 000 eagles members not at Perth Stadium do not seek alternative footy therapy,especially if Freo Tear them a new one next weekend?!
