2026 WAFL Attendances(Watch)

What seemed like a Fair amount then,is barely enough now!

That the AFL aren’t going out of their way to just pay that amount now, says a lot!

That amount now to them is Chicken feed!

They were in a hurry years ago to get the 2 Licences here and even gave them the hurry up to seek the Sale!

What’s stopping that lot at AFL Housd now?

Can’t be just an inflated price tag?!

Add about 300 to any Home Attendance for Perth when -

1 - A Colts game is played on Friday Night or Sunday as a Stand alone Fixture.
2 - The Colts play after the League Game
3 - The WAFLW and/or Rogers Cup play after the League Game.

Seems a fair thing to do and is a better indicator of how many in reality would be going through the turnstile,if someone was manning them aside of the Reserves and League Games,

West Perth have done it,so good enough for other Clubs to do so as well.

Be curious to know how many they get for their Standalone League Game against West Coast. If they have a Junior Parade, fair enough.Add 'em in to the final figure!

Otherwise, with a 4.30PM start, you’d be lucky to get 1 000 there, even if the weather holds off until Sunday.West Coast supporters except the loyal few don’t go to WAFL and you’d be lucky to get 100 of them from a 110 000 Membership.

If you listen to the interview with EP CEO in the link I added in the SA reserves topic he spoke about auditing the attendance figures which all clubs can do but don’t apparently to add things like colts attendance including staff, volunteers etc….

Just noticed 2 of their figures were amended.

V West Coast 342 became 810

Not much, but that’s fine by me.

Easy to think on a night like that,a few hundred were inside East Perth’s rooms which many couldn’t see from various angles, like the Belcrest Home Stand.

v Perth about 1 200 became 1 767.

Much fairer indicator of people going to WAFL Footy.

And I can see Certain SMARTAR*SES twirling their index finger and going “Whoopee Do!”,and I can still be concerned about the public’s indifference to the WAFL,but there are more going than many Attendance Figures indicate.

Still would like to get many more people going, that this 141 Year Old Competition Deserves!

C’mon guys!

Provided you aren’t raving one eyed, you can get up close to these guys that play now, give them a pat on the back, have a beer and yarn with them afterwards maybe,….

Can you do that if not with the top Enders at an AFL Club on Game Day?

Some of them will kick on to the AFL,many are great guys off the field,…..

You don’t know what you’re missing here!

Hey Grassy how many times have you watched and rewatched the JFK asasination tape?

Obviously too many times to count and gets so bored he invented another topic today. 4 games to go and starts a topic called Perth League team 2026. :joy:

Not that many Bazza.

Comes along on SBS every now and again in November.

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

True.

Should have set it up Months ago.

Nobody else thought to start it though,eh?!

Why the need for such a topic? Us Perth supporters are one of the most active week in week out nothing gets missed. EP on the other hand just keep replying to the same topic week in week out EP 2026. We create new game topics every week.

More a general thread about The Club,…you don’t have to browse it.

Yeah but thats only because Grassy creates threads and topics so he can talk to himself.

Well, you don’t mind having your 5 cents’ worth occasionally.

What you need to ask yourself Grassy, is depite the Eagles being one of the worst teams in the AFL for years now, they are still averaging over 44,000 to home games and the dockers are just over 50,000 in there greatest ever season to date,

The eagles maintain membership of 107k and the dockers at 70k…

A child entering Primary School this year has no active memory of the eagles 2018 Flag let alone the 2006 era…yet they have huge interest in the public.

So why arent they coming to WAFL???

A myriad of reasons discussed since we started chatting on WAFL Chat Sites.

Basically the same one and WAFL ON.

But today at Leederville seems pretty good, with 2 500 - 3 000 here, with plenty of kids around.BUT,how many here will the blinkin’ Football Commission Count.

PS - About 1 200.

Someone put 98 for Peel v Subi.

Someone’s taking the proverbial there,…

Attendances upgraded(not much I grant you),but here are 2 -

Peel v Subi - was 98,now 1 061
West Perth v wc - was 546,now 1 139.

Just waiting for East Perth to upgrade their’s from this Round.Had to be more than 1 281.

PS - C’mon ep.

Give that crowd last week an upgrade it deserves.

Looked like another round off pizz poor attendances, could not get better weather yet people are staying away, what was going on at basso seemed to be an oddly big turn out for a peel game…was it juniors day?

Yep, parade in between the ressies and league

Another good attendance at Good Grocer Park! Perhaps other WAFL clubs should follow the East Fremantle model.

How many figure was not up…

EF Oval Currently sitting at 1600 average which is third highest of the clubs.

There could have been more there,if Swans didn’t have to switch the start to one hour earlier,…
