Add about 300 to any Home Attendance for Perth when -
1 - A Colts game is played on Friday Night or Sunday as a Stand alone Fixture.
2 - The Colts play after the League Game
3 - The WAFLW and/or Rogers Cup play after the League Game.
Seems a fair thing to do and is a better indicator of how many in reality would be going through the turnstile,if someone was manning them aside of the Reserves and League Games,
West Perth have done it,so good enough for other Clubs to do so as well.
Be curious to know how many they get for their Standalone League Game against West Coast. If they have a Junior Parade, fair enough.Add 'em in to the final figure!
Otherwise, with a 4.30PM start, you’d be lucky to get 1 000 there, even if the weather holds off until Sunday.West Coast supporters except the loyal few don’t go to WAFL and you’d be lucky to get 100 of them from a 110 000 Membership.
If you listen to the interview with EP CEO in the link I added in the SA reserves topic he spoke about auditing the attendance figures which all clubs can do but don’t apparently to add things like colts attendance including staff, volunteers etc….
Easy to think on a night like that,a few hundred were inside East Perth’s rooms which many couldn’t see from various angles, like the Belcrest Home Stand.
v Perth about 1 200 became 1 767.
Much fairer indicator of people going to WAFL Footy.
And I can see Certain SMARTAR*SES twirling their index finger and going “Whoopee Do!”,and I can still be concerned about the public’s indifference to the WAFL,but there are more going than many Attendance Figures indicate.
Still would like to get many more people going, that this 141 Year Old Competition Deserves!
C’mon guys!
Provided you aren’t raving one eyed, you can get up close to these guys that play now, give them a pat on the back, have a beer and yarn with them afterwards maybe,….
Can you do that if not with the top Enders at an AFL Club on Game Day?
Some of them will kick on to the AFL,many are great guys off the field,…..
Why the need for such a topic? Us Perth supporters are one of the most active week in week out nothing gets missed. EP on the other hand just keep replying to the same topic week in week out EP 2026. We create new game topics every week.
What you need to ask yourself Grassy, is depite the Eagles being one of the worst teams in the AFL for years now, they are still averaging over 44,000 to home games and the dockers are just over 50,000 in there greatest ever season to date,
The eagles maintain membership of 107k and the dockers at 70k…
A child entering Primary School this year has no active memory of the eagles 2018 Flag let alone the 2006 era…yet they have huge interest in the public.
A myriad of reasons discussed since we started chatting on WAFL Chat Sites.
Basically the same one and WAFL ON.
But today at Leederville seems pretty good, with 2 500 - 3 000 here, with plenty of kids around.BUT,how many here will the blinkin’ Football Commission Count.
Looked like another round off pizz poor attendances, could not get better weather yet people are staying away, what was going on at basso seemed to be an oddly big turn out for a peel game…was it juniors day?
