We could give them a match Lucky at full strength but with three of our top 4 players out it will be tough. I think if we make finals it will be clinched in the last round or two.
Besides the test for our slightly under strength midfield, the big worry for me tomorrow Larry,is our under sized backline and we may really miss the presence of Macreedie who is out till round 17.
Itâs great to have Raykos back at the club Larry, and he should be back in the league team next week.
If we were at full strength perhaps we could give them a close run for the points but as much as I love EP I cannot see us coming close to what is effectively a side better than a VFL side or even a SANFL side. When you have AFL listed players in the reserves is it is a disgrace. If they cannot play in the league side then sorry sit on the outer and suck eggs!
If teams hit them hard physically, they might start âmanagingâ various players,to preserve them for focusing on an AFL Flag, instead of a WAFL Flag.
You cannot even think about hitting Mandurah players hard
They just fall over like Myotonic Congenita (Tennessee fainting goats) and the âumpiresâ blow whistles
Usually ends in visits to tribunals
Do it anyway and see how Freo react.
Only Hard, but Fair.Bone Rattlers between Shoulder and Waist!Legally!
Peel could get Sacrificed in the Process.
Fully agree. Itâs a disgrace. Damned if I will ever again, whilst this âalignmentâ is in place, visit their home fixtures. Iâm not spending another cent to keep Peel afloat. Iâm sure big brother Dockers will stump up the required finance to keep them viable.
Be interesting to see their current finances these days.Still in the red from one source, which in fairness to them raised my eyebrows.
Grump when we defeated Peelmantle on their dung heap in round 3 they had 13 Fremantle players and including the likes of Jack Sears, Tardrew, Cory Tregenza and Ben Hancock. We were without Brandan Parfitt and Schlensog arguably our two most influential players.
Fremantle players in that game.
- Jeremy Sharp - 34 possessions
- Tobyn Murray - 23
- Nathan OâDriscoll -21
- Oscar McDonald - 20
- Toby Whan - 20
- Brandan Walker -17
- Hugh Davies -16 and 8 marks
- Cooper Simpson - 16
- Josh Draper - 14
- Ollie Murphy - 9
- Charlie Nicholls - 9
- Aiden Riddle - 8, 2.1 and 19 hit outs
- Adam Sweid - 8 and a goal
Itâs doable and you probably have the one ruckman in the comp who can match Darcy for strength and knows him well.
How???we came out of the 5 year alignment with a million in the bank.
Lucky, Iâm absolutely perplexed and angered as to why our club would agree to allow 15 Dockers players to line up for Peel today.
Questions will be asked if I see any of the club hierarchy at todayâs game.
In the meantime, as has been suggested by previous posters, I hope some well-applied Royal vigour this arvo can help ârestâ a few of the Thunder Dockers.
The problem Pete,is not so much the quantity but the quality,West Coast had 16 fringe listed AFL players when we handled them easily, but someone like a Darcy is going to nulllify our main strength in Jonesy.
I fully agree, Lucky.
The Dockers currently playing in the WAFL have the carrot of AFL selection and a possible grand final dangling in front of them if they have a sustained run of form or if injury hits Freoâs very healthy AFL list (with Sam Sturt evidently their only casualty).
To be any chance this arvo, weâll have to play a hard, contested game and just hope that our tall forwards all fire.
The big worry is our undersized defence without Harry Macreadie, as gallant as Ethan Regan is at centre-half-back.
It is going to be that Mandurah may be a nice place to visit or even live, but bad luck if you want to play football for them.
Zac Raykos,24 possessions in the Magooâs and has to come straight back into the league side.
Beats me.
They get better Official Attendances than most Clubs these days.
Is that because more locals are getting in behind them?
Or more Away Team Supporters are travelling to Mandurah and bunking up in their holiday homes in the region?
This like watching the Globetrotters vs the Washington Wizards.
Very disheartening performance, wouldnât have mattered who we had in,2026 is another write off.
What a disgrace. 13 goals to 2 at half time. What did the WAFC expect if they allow 15 full time, professional players to play against a team of part time footballers? Thatâs the end of any integrity this so-called Commission ever had. Disgusting.
