Train advised. Parking terrible out there. Aim for 130pm to soak it all up and not be caught in the slow admission gate. I think there is only one.
Let’s fill and take over the outer bank. Won’t be able to beat last week’s crowd due lack of space, but let’s do our best. Bring out the old merchandise or buy some new stuff- finances permitting.
Bring a mate or an old timer who can’t get there themselves. No more bad luck for us. The monkey is off our back.
The Tigers will be spewing from their efforts on Saturday, Perth will have belief.
Perth confirmed one out Brogan-Henry. Claremont confirmed one out Hunter.
For Perth who comes in?
Like for like would see Fleiner.
Worry about Eastland may see Edwards and two ruckman play.
Wanting some experience could give Simpson the nod (Risky looking at Leggart on Sat)
Scobes ankle not as good as we think puts Lures and Preston-Coates in the frame.
Personally I don’t think anyone else should come out.
Hill although dropping the sitter in the middle of the ground had a lot more important steal about him.
Evans, Bodle and Moore taking their opportunity.
Training add on should be
Roberts, McTaggart, Q, Fairbank, Gray, Tevita-Tharpe, Kemp and Sam Cameron maybe more I don’t know how it works.
Great photo. Scoble is as tough as they come he’ll be ok. Initially after the game I thought maybe Edwards comes in for Jaquesy but he’s becoming a bit of a cult figure.
Watched the replay a couple of times and he still played very well and holds his spot for mine. Not sure about Fleiner as others have said doesn’t get a lot of it even in ressies but solid build maybe if it’s a wet day. Would like to see Fairbank given a go but heard he’s got a knee. Not sure how bad. For Tarks obviously.
I think if we had 5 interchange like the ressies you could risk Sam. I believe the AFL is going to get rid of the sub rule next year and just make it 5 interchange. Would like to see that at WAFL league level next year.
I believe Sam Simpson is hanging up the boots at the end of the season which probably gives a hint which way they will go. Maybe Nyika John for Tarks?
Theres more room there than you think, room on the sides of the ground just east of the stand, and yep the smallish bank on the northern side, the sullivan truck should be there some place. Monts dont get many these days so you should be right, get about 5000 in there if you really push it.
I agree Bazz. 5000 easy. I would just like to see some well designed standing room (standing on a sloped hill kills the calf’s) 200 seats with some rain/sun shelter, a toilet or two, a can ban and a coffee shop. All very doable.
If you go on the railway side in the pocket Infront of the apartments there is good flat standing room there and more behind the goals with a slight slope.
Get the Sullivans Logistics truck, the mobile Pig Pen, into Dog Shit Park this week. Tell Mr Whippy to piss off, we’ll have his spot in the forward pocket. Being in that last Sunday was a hoot. Love to see it going on the road to every away game next year.
And with lots of rain forecast for Friday, the ground is going to be a bit slippery. Apparently rain easing but showers are expected over the weekend with a day-time temperature about 17⁰
Been away for a few days, so a belated echo of the comments about an outstanding effort v EF. We can beat C if we replicate that. I reckon roll the dice on Simpson to replace TBH. No other changes.
Ted, welcome back. Can you please elaborate on why Simpson would be the way to go to replace BH? BH a backman - Simpson a forward/wing.
Who would do that back rotation?
Saying that, our structure was dynamic and difficult to follow on Saturday. Perhaps a coaching strategy.
The WAFL show on 91.3 Sport FM @ 5pm tonight had some doubts about Glass-McCasker being able to get through the rigours of WAFL finals football due to his minimal season. As I have said - he looks to be fitting in very nicely to me. Let’s hope they are wrong.
Presidents Lounge open for some comfy seats and a look at training on Friday from 5pm. Get along if you can - Players appreciate the support and it may be a 1 %^ that we all acknowledge helps.
I just think you choose the best available player. Fleiner just hasn’t done enough. I can’t think of anyone else- a tall like Edwards would unbalance the team. Simpson could play forward, Wills to wing and Davis off half back.
I’m sure Elijah is just putting the feet up keeping weight off it and getting some physio treatment. Ice and ultrasound. I’d say Ollie Eastland is doing the same.
If we need to replace a backmen I’d put Robert’s in to debut. Been watching him in the ressies this season like him as a player. Was in the best on the weekend imo.
TFAF, that’s not the message I got about McCasker.
He did very well and will hold his place in the side.
Trust Mark Stone, he has made very few bad decisions this year.
He brought McCasker in for a reason and going forward it is a very astute recruitment.
I loved McCasker’s game. It was the Sport FM questioning whether or not he will run out of steam after a limited preseason/season. Don’t know how this was misconstrued.
