All teams have completed 12 games, we have 6 games left until finals, why are we having more byes? Every team will have to have a bye in the next 6 rounds. If a squad cant do 6 games straight then they don’t deserve to be in the comp. It used to be 21 games with the only bye for a state game. That was when players were far less fit and conditioned as the current plyers are with modern methods of training and conditioning plus we have 4 on the bench. Lets have 6 full rounds of footy heading into the finals, not this hopeless and frustrating mishmash of fixtures. Just my thoughts.

Yes, my thoughts too. We’ve just seen 3 weeks of Byes. And now there is another stretch of 3 weeks with Byes starting this weekend. I can’t be the only one whom thinks that scenario odd and frustrating!

I think this is one of the reasons why the WAFC is trying to condense the season next year so that the grand final will be held on the weekend of the AFL pre finals bye. If this happens there will be less byes in the 18 round season.
