Who's going to win the GF?

Well…here we are. I did some research earlier and found that since coming into the competition in 1997, Peel finished in the bottom two on 16 occasions during the 17 years before aligning with Freo in 2014. In 2015 they went straight up to third and won flags in 2016 and 2017. Pretty damning stats for the WAFC and also the handful of Peel supporters around the place on just how much they rely on Freo players.

This weekend I’ll be barracking for the Sharks but my head says FART to win their third flag 8 years.

Premiers: Peel by 15 points
Simpson Medal: Will Brodie.

And sadly, there is simply no interest in it around my locality.

the AFL shit will win it - everything seems to point that way

I Reckon the Sharks will win it. Peel have had no break in the finals series whereas East Freo will be well rested. That will offset the advantage of the AFL players fitness level. Sharks by 12 points.

Think you’re right BC. You blokes are owed another 2 flags….as if the commission gives an oriental fk.

I really hope you’re right Mike as I can’t stand the pricks mainly because their delusional supporters insist it’s Peel winning the flags and not Freo in drag.

Winner: EF
Margin: 25 points
Simpson Medal: Hugh Dixon

Looks like the Sharks are doing a great job.Selling tickets and promoting the Wafl GF.Was a wonderful day for the Wafl ,last year.
Its the last game of footy at Optus in 2023.In a crap year for our AFL sides.
Crowd=28,775
Winner=Peel/Freo 13 points
Simpson=Nathan Wilson

Peel by 22, Brodie for Simpson.

BC those stats show the real situation down at Centrelink stadium, anyone who thinks it’s a level playing field and that Peelmantle are a real WAFL team are in cloud fairyland. They are permitted 12 listed players which is still a joke, (imagine fronting up to 16 & 17 in a GF) maybe they take the average number of listed players who played over the H & A and that should be the limit.

The Sharkies have the size and talent to beat Freo but they will have to play to their absolute potential for 4 qtrs to win, If they dont have around a 4 goal lead at 3/4 time they may be in trouble. They beat them, just, in the 2nd semi after a weeks rest, same situation tomorrow but have a couple of good ins to help the cause. Perfect day for footy tomorrow, so go the Sharks in the league, SD in the ressies and Perth in the colts. If they get near 20k it will be a triumph.

Sounds like EF have done their best to get a decent crowd in. The players have been pretty resilient all year, especially the latter part of the season.

EF by 17 with Fraser Turner snaring the Simpson.

SD to win the reserves by 11

Be great if Perth can win the colts, especially as the two clubs junior zones are like chalk and cheese. However Curtin returning will only add to Cl already strong lineup…Cl by 29.

I’ve tried the WAFL, EF, PEEL websites to try and see what the entertainment and a run down for the day is? Nothing!! It was like these two teams weren’t even in it. I think EF had their line-up on their own site and not much more.

Found a little blurb on the Optus Stadium site which was a cut and paste from something I saw last week. It is seriously lacking.

At least when it was played at Freo Oval and Leederville their was plenty of build up, communication and heaps of events to do before and after. (especially at Leederville in 2022)

old easts by 17pts. Best team all year and have the pace to worry freo. Just hope they don’t choke on the big occasion

really poor crowd figure - would not even be 15 000

and the colts presentation is just a hurried rushed joke

the skills of some of these Mandurah players are absolutely insipid - that number 7 is a bit hopeless he’s got no heart

And having only one Wafl league team play in the league Grand Final is a very bad look for the comp!!

if that AFL coach is watching his “players” he would be very very worried about their quality or effort or both
my god they are absolutely insipid

how the frick has this lot of crap made the grand final ???

Early in the last qtr Southerner.
EF have just worked harder with and without the footy.
Moving the ball quickly fwd has thrown Peels backine.There mids are down there helping clear the ball.
Floodgates about to open.Unless Peel can find something really big.

Mandurah has some seriously weak footballers out there mate seriously weak footballers
