Which FART will turn up?

Not sure what’s wrong with Braut but to be honest, he’s committed some howlers in recent weeks.

Ins: Lachlan HENDERSON, Jarrod RICHARDS, Tyler SENGE, Wesley WALLEY
Outs: Liam HICKMOTT, Daniel GATHERCOLE, Travis SHEARER, Michael BRAUT

Wonder if the Freo princesses will demand that the game gets shifted from Leedo after the WCE ladies moved their game. Peelmantle have form on this front, it’s fine for WAFL players to play on it last week and tomorrow. Not sure we will have the manpower to compete with Peelmantles midfield lead by their giant ruckman Reidy, too much size class and fittness, but you never know.

Unfortunately Walley won’t stay. Shearer looks like a good prospect, if dropped tomorrow. Gathercole is better on the wing, than in defence imo.

Not much to like about that performance. At least the Peel boys came back to the rooms and there was a good atmosphere. Hamilton is a no nonsense coach and that sits well. Webby was in the rooms and that might mean he’s got the job.

Watched the last quarter in the reserves. Wasn’t a lot there either. Shearer is a bit awkward on his disposal but shows promise. I thought kooper Walsh showed a bit of class.

Marc Webb, now there’s an interesting option I hadn’t thought about JL.
I reckon a smart and passionate coach with history. Horse maybe a bit of unknown? But no doubting his Subi credentials of course.

Webby has the track record, being in the AFL system as well as a premiership coach in the WAFL with Claremont. Not sure what he’s been doing in recent years. Horse is currently in the WAFL system … sort of, but under the complete control of his WC masters. Both he and Webby are club legends and both would be wonderful gets for the club.

As far as the game v Peelmantle, not a great game to watch with Peelmantle continuously flooding so we had to contend with 36 players inside our forward line consistently. Most of our early shots at goal were way out on the boundary due to this tactic, hence many missed shots. Peelmantle maintained this flooding all game and had the fitness to continuously re-bound from their defensive flood, something we could not match due to there 12 listed full timers and the fitness advantage they provide. That being said, this Subi side is the shortest, slowest, least physical team we have fielded this century. Compared to the halcyon days of the big fit physically intimidating teams of 2004 to 2009 and 2014 to 2021, it’s a case of comparing men with boys. Given the colts and ressies arent looking to good as far as producing many ready made league players, some serious recruiting is required to get us back to at least being competitive. Souths are showing the way on how to be a dominant team, as we did in the past, as SD did leading up to 2010, as Perth are currently trying to do but are cruelled by injuries.

Webb after leaving cl went to assistant coach at freo then Westen bulldogs, since returned to WA and is currently WA u/18 coach. Maybe that’s why he was in the rooms to see Wes Walley debut??

Since Mayo has been forced to do the majority of the ruck work, our fwd line which was reasonably strong with Mayo, May and Borchet, now not much to kick to
