When one considers this news story from early in 2012, I think GOOD ON SWANS for making a point. Apparently howson didn’t like the scoreboard.
Pity more Wafl clubs couldn’t have a scoreboard like the one Swans had pictured in the paper.

The 3 games on the day were all worth watching and great for WAFL football!
Grump I also saw all 3 games on Saturday & as you know I am dead against the host club set up & I feel sorry for the good young players you blokes have like Fraser, Bennell, Borrett et al who will have to play second fiddle to the Eagles left overs every week!
They will be only second fiddle if they remain at the WCEP. As has been documented i expect all WAFL clubs are talking to various players at the clubs formerly known as Peel and East Perth right now

The fact that Swans put W. C. Eagles instead of EP up on the scoreboard is common knowledge, and as been run with by the media including the West Australian.
It’s up to the wider public to decide if it was in bad taste, and this is generally being discussed within this thread, however we shall continue to monitor it’s progress throughout the day.
