WAFL transfers for 2025

Pegoraro is back in June after his Missus finishes her Netball season in Victoria.

Haven’t the 4 cents in the dollar gone into administration Korda Mentha Falcons landed on their feet since pulling off the con of the 21st century. Landed another recruit, WCE Harley Reid stable pony Jason Gilbee.

Thanks for keeping track of this KC. Nice work which has been big help in the offseason to understand player movements.

There were a couple more movements announced at the Subi AGM according to Jjim on the Subi thread, but other than Stainsby coming back and Drew Rohde leaving, I’m not sure how much impact they will have although Richards does look a likely type.

From Jjim - “Gains confirmed as Jedd Edwards , Archer May, Jack Cooley, Jarrod Richards (Pines FC), Oliver Dixon (Ovens and Murray league), Nate Tucker, Tony Olango as well as the return of Kyle Stainsby. Losses were Sokol , Dewar, Kitch as well as Drew Rohde and Riley Morgan.”

3 x Ex-EF players (Otto, McMillan and Sanchez) on SF list - gee, times have changed - go anywhere but there was the mantra from both clubs

Not sure Otto and McMillan can be classed as losses for EF KC. Both left EF before the season started last year, to play community footy. McMillan Ieft even before the 2023 season. Sanchez leaving has surprised me the most, considering with all EF losses over the pre season and SF extensive recruiting…not sure he is any closer to a league debut…but hey good luck to all 3 youngsters…talented youngsters who showed snippets at times…

Fremantle have added Isaiah Dudley (Central District) to their list via SSP. Looks like another pretty handy pick up for Peel.

Disgraced ex NM player Tarryn Thomas has been cleared to play 2nd tier footy but is not eligible for the mid season draft. Apparently a couple of WAFL clubs showing interest. Mine won’t be one of them. Guaranteed of getting at least one full season out of him providing he can behave himself off the field. Maybe a good pick up for East Perth as a replacement for the injured Cooper Stephens.

Ex Footscray(VFL) defender Austin Hodge looking a likely replacement for former skipper Matty Jupp, in defence for EF in 25. Another ex Perth player trying his luck down at Moss St in Hamish McFarlane.

DD, those days are over getting stuck into us mate. Perth are now officially the basket case and kissed on the cock club of the comp. You blokes avoided a multiple game suspension all because your shit house, that was admitted by the WAFC. Then there is the added player points, salary cap increase over the past couple of years and the icing on the cake with the new zones to be finalised prior to start of the 2026 season which Perth are going to richly benefit from, how many hand outs do you want ???

Well princess you might be one of those benificeries praising the new WA Football chair since he has spoken about your poor country zone. I’m sure you’ll send him a thank you card.

Darling,

We get what we get, one for sure and certain, we will work diligently within the zones given as per usual.

Some new names on the web list this week BC, a few colts boys, a lad from swans colts 2023 and big Duff back on there. Most of the above not on there though, no Stainsby, Dixon, Tucker or Olango

Not sure what is happening with that listing on the Subi website, those names were mentioned at the AGM in December but other than Richard’s haven’t made an appearance on the list. Possibly awaiting clearances from previous clubs, but that doesn’t explain Stainsby? Some may or may not made the move or found the training too much?
As an aside still waiting for my membership after sending off in December, anyone else received theirs?

Our website is similar, loads of departures are listed and some recruits not mentioned.

Thank you KCEF for your efforts in keeping this list running.
I am unsure if Meade has left EFFC, as he has played no pre-season games. Same query or Paton. Cripps has been taken of in the last day or so.
I would appreciate it if anyone had any information on this, as EFFC don’t keep their player list up to date.

I spoke to a few EF people at the EF v WC game & was told:

Meade had injured his calf & had retired
Chris Walker was still training at the club (also saw a comment by John Lee on Facebook on the EFFC supporters club page saying the same).
Ben McGuire would be available to play from halfway through the season.
Both Blackiston & Hodge were expected to be out for at least 5-6 weeks. Blackiston dislocated his shoulder.

Still waiting for an injury list to go up.

30/4/25
Peel showing 23 injuries as of today - Thats got to be a record!
