The club met with Josh this morning, The West saying he is at the Falcons. Muddleton will be spewing he moved if the Ferals get stung with -8 or -12 points.
On 6PR this morning, Langdon confirmed that the Perth and East Perth penalties are true. Three games penalty each. I suspect with Perth; it’s a soft cap misdemeanor and with EP, who knows.
the premiership points are only one part of the sanctions
wait for another slug that is a deduction of salary cap
it can explain sudden departure of players
and if the penalty is something like 3 games , then expect heavy reduction of salary caps

The departure of players is a normal and predictable process. The somewhat over reaction by some folk is just silly. If EP and it appears so has breached something will be penalised I think that we will cope and still be competitive at the end of the season. It is a bit dumb but still part of the WAFL scene.
The players who have left EP are quite easily explained and not really surprising given each players circumstance.
That is pathetic if true. An almost irrelevant competition will now be completely irrelevant next season.
what is the point of even fielding teams next season for Perth and East Perth.

That was Friday was it Winger? Can you remember approximately what time of the 5 hour program? Id like to hear it. Did he sound emphatic or something like it’s rumoured or I heard?
This is complete bullshit if true and will be the death of the competition. You are effectively knocking out two teams before the season even begins at a time when the comp was just starting to become more even and competive with a few dominant clubs becoming less so.

DD et al, perhaps I am being overly optimistic, and I am not shooting at the Demons, but I am fairly confident that EP would still be playing finals or close to it even with a 3-game penalty. EF and CL were 3 games behind us on the ladder so maybe we can still be there at finals time!
EF weren’t 3 games behind- they had their own penalty and finished on 12 wins. SF were though . But enough is enough with these points penalties- especially when most have been accounting errors. Does the WAFC want to burn the comp to the ground??
Grump my friend, it was on the rumor file, that’s around 7.00 / 7.30. There was more emphasis on Perth than East Perth, I’m becoming skeptical about the whole situation, these no reports in the media and I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole lot is bullshit.
Thank you, Winger. I am trying to convince some of my fellow East Perth Members the same.
Because there has been absolutely nothing in the written media or any of the WAFL Websites, how come people like Karl Langdon and Peter Sumich declare East Perth and Perth guilty and that their penalties are 2-3 weeks?

Rokhar wont be playing SANFL unless they stump up a transfer fee.
Traye Bennell returns to Peel
Jackson Broadbent (SF) to Perth
Didn’t Broadbent make a big deal about getting to SF a few years ago?

Was all set to sign with Perth 2 years ago according to the West Australian then South pounced. Would have thought his chance to play league at South would have been this year with their ruck stocks pretty thin. He will certainly be higher up in the pecking order at Perth. Hopefully can take a grab and kick goals.

i think the rules changed in 2016.I think it still applies
Players will be able to move more easily within the WAFL under a regulation shake-up that will stop clubs from setting their own transfer fees. The WA Football Commission has created fixed transfer fees according to a player’s age and experience, removing the ability for clubs to dictate their own price to release a player.
The move comes with national transfer fees having been scrapped for the first time to encourage greater movement of footballers between interstate leagues, including the WAFL, VFL and the SANFL.WAFL clubs had previously had to pay $15,000 in the first year and $5000 in the second to recruit an interstate player such as Sandover Medal winner Jye Bolton, who joined Claremont from VFL outfit Werribee last season. Transfer fees for the WAFL have been slashed.
My understanding is he has a contract and is still under it. Gone home for personal reasons not to earn more playing footy so I guess a transfer fee is more than fair.
