WAFL rules changes

Wish you blokes would get your hand off it.
Time to wake up boys.
Subi have not been singled out.
Rules apply to the competition.
Yes there are a couple of little extra ones for Subi.

The sad part is Subi and their supporters don’t get it.

The need is simple.
Bring Subi back into line.
Only trouble is we can’t stop the paper bags.

I hope you’re taking the piss DF when you say a couple of little extra ones for Subi when in fact the WAFC has deliberately prohibited the club from recruiting anyone over one point. As others have said, I don’t recall one club being targeted in such a way in any sport at any time anywhere in the world in the last 50 years.

Subi will just have to train even harder now, they have told all other clubs that is the reason for their success, its not about recruiting or money so what is the issue - just train harder.

Dear Subi, these rules are stupid and arbitrary.

And entirely of your own making.

Suck it.

Not only do they train harder, but they also train for longer than others. And if anyone can, Subiaco can - because their culture is so much better than others, on top of their capacity to ‘train harder’ and ‘raise the bar’.

If ever a non-Aussie asks you for an explanation of the “tall poppy syndrome”, just point them to this thread.

Funny thing is…Subi probably do have the culture to train harder and for longer…so I guess it won’t be an issue…time will tell I guess

Oooll..are you saying EF had a good culture during Wiley’s tenure?..pretty sure Bill facilitated a few early decisions into his tenure to change the culture he inherited…

No - I didn’t at any point mention an EF culture or Wiley and can’t see where your coming from, or Bill or any of his decisions whether they be good/bad/indifferent.

If you want to attempt to question/purport I’m saying things? Well it’s a free country but you are wrong in your insinuation.

Subi’s culture is of course far better than anyone else’s - that includes whether Wiley, Bill or your mate Dunbar was at EF
How you can even attempt to draw out of that I may be saying ‘EF had a good culture under Wiley’ is laughable. But you stick to your guns there champ

BC would there be anything in the rules of the competition that a team has to meet a certain standard both on and off the field and if not met that team or teams would be questioned by the WAFC as to why they are under performing.
If they continued to under perform they would be kicked out of the competition and maybe replaced by a team like say Kalgoorlie.
Just a question.

Here’s the WAFC constitution which pretty much gives it the right to do what it likes.

Yeah the AFL have been doing it for decades, they call it equalisation, if you look at the spread of Grand Finalists in the AFL era its far greater than the WAFL, and far greater than the VFL days of non equalisation.

Yep, BC , as I’ve stated before on numerous occasions, the WAFC Constitution is all powerful it removed all control from the clubs in the or good reasons.

They have also done it the other way too, the AFL, for example, forcing Fitzroy to leave the league.

Easy Oool…just THOUGHT by that comment of yours “because their culture is so much better than others” was written dripping in sarcasm…that I THOUGHT I would reply with some sarcasm of my own, by referring to the culture at EF under Wiley…and whether you were happy with it?..Geez not sure where all this “free world”, “champ”, “attempt to question/purport me saying things” has come from…just thought sarcasm was your thing fella…apologies for getting it wrong…

touch wood Bill can get EF training as hard and as long as Subi does then mate…and repair the culture damage from the Robbie tenure..hopefully that is something we can concur on…but now I am thinking not…that’s me thinking for me mate and not me thinking for you…LOL
