All clubs get impacted to varying extents by the new rules, just a couple that are Subi specific which I have no problem with.
The idea of reducing Perths points while keeping EP’s up is inexplicable, EP maybe rebuilding after the alignment but thats their issue to deal with, Perth should at least have the same points as EF & EP. If they improve and make top 4 for a couple of years in a row then it could be reviewed.
Arc as i read it and I’ll stand corrected, if Subi lose Litherland which appears to be the case, i think he is a 10 point player, Subi can replace him with another player of up to 10 point value as long as Subi stay within the new reduced points cap. Subi can no longer add another player of more than 1 point value without a current player who is more than 1 point leaving.

This where it is confusing…on one hand they’re saying we can only recruit local zone players or out of zone who haven’t played league for 2 years. On the other hand they’re saying we can replace multi point players like for like…so which is it? Does it mean we can only replace multi point players with our own district products or out of district that haven’t played league for 2 years? Good luck with that.
Subiaco
Reduction from 120 to 100 Player Recruitment Points Can only recruit Local District players or players from outside their District that haven’t previously played any WAFL League games, or haven’t played any WAFL League games in the past 24 months.
Can relist AFL de-listed players from their District within the 100 points cap. Can replace any multiple point player (one for one) who leaves the club following the 2019 season with a player based on their player points value in accordance with the WAFL Rules & Regulations. Cannot use any residual points to recruit over and above this rule.
One (1) point players can only be replaced by another one (1) point player.
No it’s wrong. Targeting one club is not the way to equalise the comp…making structural changes right across the board is the only way to do it fairly, effectively and for the long term…and what happens if Subi dominates again next year which we’re quite likely to do? Do they make us shed players or start the season at round 4…a short term knee jerk solution which will more than likely have little or no effect and shows the WAFC has no idea.

BC you need to study it again.
They are not targeting one Club.
You need to acknowledge there is a problem.
And you also need to acknowledge that Subi is part of the problem.
All finalists are targeted by the change.
Show me where any other club is restricted specifically by whom they can or cannot recruit…does it say Perth can’t recruit anyone they so wish? as for acknowledging the problem try reading my earlier posts instead of making silly statements.
Damning on PFC for not using extra points we had last year.
We will now pay a price for that.
Yes, No, Maybe… who is to say we could have got the right player to use the points on? Considering our late start to any serious recruiting we will never know.

your premise is only correct if all clubs use their points.i suspect east perth only used about 115 points at a maximum being for maginnis(5),wellingham(12),kerr(5),Houghton(5),scott(10),olongo(10),and simpson(3).those seven players make 50 ponts and with about 60 one pointer players the total was about 110 ponts and even less if you take off maginness’s 5 points as he went back east half way thru the season.you could give swans, east fremantle and perth 150 points but do they have the money to recruit.my beef with subi goes back to last year when after winning all three grades they were able to recruit marsh after he was delisted. Both marsh boys were from East Perth’s country zone and ended up- at east fremantle due to the grandfather rule.Their grandfather was ray sorrel.i would have preferred if he went back to the sharks or even to east perth.i think it is reasonable for the wafc to bring in a rule to stop a premiership team not being able to recruit afl delisted players or raid other wafl teams.so long as it applies to all teams in the future.i have had this same view when Claremont won the premieship in 2012 and recruited mark seaby after he was delisted.i think where subi loses the arguament is that they won all three grades in 2018 and this after complaining how bad their junior zones was at the last boundary changes.this impacted on east perth having to give subi Lansdale and swans surrendering Ellenbrook to east perth which many swannies are still filthy about and why east perth left the alignment to maintain their zone.
I think wafc has stuffed this up.
But seriously subi, suck it.
I know alot of people have been pointing out the problems with subi for a long time. Good on you guys. Respect.
I started this back up after seeing subi play mid year and reading some posts from BC about danger games and subi not that good etc. I saw a basically unbeatable subi and thought i’d point out to subi posters that they were full of shit.
Subi guys piled in. BC became a moderator of subi site specifically to delete me. DG went into full smart arse mode.
Well now I invite you to reap what you have sown.
That was because you were deliberately hijacking legitimate discussions on game day and the performance of my club. I said to you at the time if you wanted to have a crack at Subi then start threads on any issue you like on the Subi board and you’ll be free to say whatever you like but don’t start posting your crap on topics that were of no concern or interest to you. That offer still stands but you won’t take it because you are a troll and a pest.
Yeah your discussions weren’t legit mate, they were deluded. As I think everyone in football in wa has now pointed out to you, even, incredibly, the wafc.
I agree EP shouldn’t get anything extra, quite frankly we don’t need it and won’t use the points. Don’t forget with Ellenbrook JFC many of the more talented kids live in Swan Districts suburbs Still.

They were as legitimate to me as the threads on Perth’s games were to you and Smokey, SD to Mike and BH, East Freo to Shark and Strono, SF to Bazza and Southerner and on it goes. Because you couldn’t or wouldn’t accept that you continued to hijack threads on the Subi board which I ignored initially but it the end had enough. I don’t care what you think about my club but at least have the decency not to ruin discussions on footy between me, other Subi supporters and anyone else who wanted to contribute in a positive fashion. Even ooolll used to take the piss but it was in a light hearted fashion and I joined in, but your posts were derogatory, inflammatory and ill-informed. You can post whatever thread you like on our board to promote your hatred of Subi but don’t even think about trolling legitimate conversations.

I used to think your posts were light hearted and quite funny until I worked out you were seriously analysing games like they were between 2 sides on the same planet and that subi might actually lose one.
Til then I used to piss myself, seriously, I thought you were a hoot.
gtr…looks like a lot of folk are still not happy with these Trump style tariffs anyway…time will tell if these tariffs can help EF end their 20 odd year premiership drought…if Perth can finally break their 2O odd year finals appearance drought…if SD can stop a George wooden spoon 3 peat…and SF can stop choking in the last fortnight in September…gonna be galling if Subi keep winning tho…the melt down will be Vesuvius like I reckon…esp for a few obsessed punters particularly…
Agree, looks a tad embarrassing TBH…for all concerned…never heard or seen such a thing in my life time watching competitive sport…but I guess something needed to be addressed to appease all the apparent unrest…
