Perth Futures
v Subi
Lathlain Park
Sunday March 8th,12.00PM.

If the Weather predictions gets close to 40 Celsius, keep an eye out for a change of day and/or Time.

Reckon our Futures might have mixed fortunes this year, given last year’s result, unless we have another outstanding squad that follows on last year’s good footy?

I challenge the WAFC and the 10 Clubs to provide the Footy going public with Team Sheets for each game, their Junior Club or previous Club/s and League Games played, even with the Reserves List.

Starting this Weekend with the Scratch Matches!

Yes,even these games!

Swans v Subi is now Subi v Swans at Leederville on Friday Night at 6.30PM.

Refer to your Club Sites for Reserves(cancelled?)and Colts details!

Caught the 2nd Half of East Perth v Claremont.

Tigers looked pretty slick in their 9 Goal Win,Royals a bit disjointed.

The former looked pretty pleased about it all,but of course that didn’t Win Premiership Points.

Is it their intention to Motor through the Pre-Season in the hope that momentum carries them through the Season proper?

They probably still have a Team capable of Winning the League Flag. But can they Finally get it right at the Business End?

They won’t have Subi to worry about then, but there’ll be others to put them to the Test on that.

EP opted to leave out of this scratch match most of their players from last seasons GF side. Those players were all there, as spectators. The reserves scratch match had been cancelled because of heat, so EP took the opportunity to give many so-called reserve players and some others (including new or recruited players) a run. That is the whole idea of scratch matches. I’m sure that, if the reserves match against WP this week is not cancelled (weather forecast looks good), we will see most of the EP senior squad in action, injuries permitting.

For as far back as I can remember, East Perth have never been big performers in scratch matches.
I think they are used mainly to “blow out the cobwebs” in match conditions.

Yeah,I noticed a few obvious ones missing like Wright and Jones.

I didn’t believe East Perth were too fussed about the Result, but I reckon Claremont’s approach was the opposite.

Sounds like the college boys were whooping it up in classic college boy style, in March.

No sledging I’m aware of on Saturday.

Not that their Opponent were ones they could sledge, after last September.

All Saturday I assume?

Yes,it is.

Cheers Grassy. The Subi v Claremont game was originally advertised to be played at 6:30 and I was tossing up whether to go.

4:10 is much better so I’ll definitely be there now.

I thought Perth v Freo was 12.40.

Got the word from above it was 1.00PM.

If so,it hasn’t been changed by the WAFC yet.
