Though the site was not every ones cuppa tea it was at the least an alternative to other site to have your opinion known.
It may have been a bit of a admirations society site, and I do believe that is what killed it off in the end.That, and the fact that a few were prepared to air their dirty linen and make things personal.The same few were at loggerheads over on Footygoss before they took their fight to WAFLon line.
I had several conversations with the Ryan the person in charge of the running of the site, and he told me that they were skating on thin ice a few times.
The moderations that were happening were forcing people away from the site.
The fact that the WAFL actually took over the moderations on the site showed the of power given to some people there was abused and they over reacted to those who had differing opinions.
But sad to see it go none the less.
I dont believe that anchorman, why not just ban the culprits? Its the peel conspiracy theory I tell you!
In my opinion i dont think the closing of that site had anything to do with any individual posters,if it did why wouldnt you just ban those posters from the site for good.Much easier to do that than close the site down for good.
Maybe the one and only moderator that looked after the site just didnt want to do it anymore and there simply was no-one else at the wafl to do that and run the site or perhaps they forecast the sh*t that was going to be thrown around about East Perth and Peel when the season started so they just opted out now?
IMO it had nothing to do with anyone posts!
After the trouble caused by the one mod they had they used their own moderator.
They had the sole right to ban or allow what ever on there.
I know that the person we are talking about here was told to pull his head in on more than one occasion.
The site has been on rocky ground for over a year now that I know of.Having spoken to the moderator from the WAFL,it was because of a few that it is closed down.
I have to laugh about the conspiracy theory though.A bit like the Big Bang Theory,all fantasy.
Opinions..thats all.
If the site closed down because of some posters thats as weak as water by the people that control that site!
I agree that the one concerned should have been banned,but unfortunately that is not how it worked out.
He used from my calculations three or four nics in the WAF and goss sites.That is one of the reasons I posted about this issue earlier.
The mod from the WAFL told me that he was the reason that the forum was on thin ice.
I still can’t abide by the conspiracy theory.
Incidentally I have written tot he mod at the WAFlonline site to ask him for a reason for the closure.
What ever the reason it is sad that we have lost another footy site.

Welcome L. With fg looking like it’s fallen away and the other forum now gone, this forum is proving popular.
Yeah it might get pretty busy for the oz footy crew. I just hope everyone can get along. It appears there are some staunch rivalries going around at the moment and I am not talking about the footy!
Its times like these when WAFL supporters need to get together for the common cause which is to save our competition. The WAFL and the WAFC are in terminator mode at the moment determined to kill us, our competition, our clubs and our forums!
Everyone on here loves the comp and they love their club…sorry I’ll get off the soap box!

From what I see having the wafl online forum closed is not beneficial. But then again, the wafl is not really the wafl anymore 
So maybe not surprising it’s been closed.
It was the only forum where you could ask the WAFC a question and get an answer.
Only problem was they didn’t like what was being asked by WAFL supporters so easy choice - Shut down the site. As you have seen this is how they work - Tell us nothing,make the changes they wish. There will be more of this dictatorship style action against the WAFL supporters this year and in years to come.
They’ll do what they want - Not what we want. The Weagles and Dorkers rule - we gotta get use to it as that’s the shite they’re going to ram down our gobs from here on in - The AFL rules the roost and we are all chicken shit as far as they are concerned.
WAFLonline was basically a private PFC forum in the end…one set of wide eyed Perth fans fantasising about the clubs on field chances and the other set of Perth fans living in reality land, addressing another year of sorrow…I hope DD comes over to oz footy soon, the in house banter and bitching was great reading!
