wafl fixtires

Had a quick look at the fixtures.I am sure the usual people will be negative. As for me with a lot of saturday commitments i am happy to have a monday fixture plus 4 sundays and a good friday as well as a 5.10pm game against perth.

As yet , no Grand Final venue - here we go yet again

All Saturday games for Subi with 2 twilights, happy with that.

Disappointed with the number of Sunday fixtures Swans have. 5 if my counting is correct as well as the Good Friday game.

Why are WCER playing their “home” games at Lathlain. One of Nisbett’s big concessions when he was crawling to everybody to allow his mob back into the WAFL, was that they would play all their games at the WAFL clubs home grounds. Typical Nisbett bullshit of course.

Why is there a derby being played at the WACA. Absolute lunacy. Both derbies should be played at Fremantle oval this season. The one last crowd puller left in the WAFL and these idiots are playing it 20 kilometres from Freo.

One derby is at the WACA because East Freo are playing their home games there whilst their home ground is being redeveloped. Going to that complete dump of a ground in Freo once this season is plenty enough thank you very much. Perfectly happy playing one derby at the WACA.

The more I look at these fixtures, I have come to the view that they have been drawn randomly out of a hat by a trained monkey. There are 13 sunday fixtures in the first half of the season. These Sunday games are not favoured by players, clubs or supporters but if we have to have them surely they should be spread out evenly between clubs. Yet we have Swans having to play 5 Sundays but Claremont and Subiaco only turning out once on a Sunday.
Sack the monkey I say!

Mike it looks like they just cut and pasted our first couple of rounds from last season (EP away on Good Friday, then EF at home) as they are exactly the same despite having had months to do these fixtures before releasing them in February!

BH and Mikeh I personally cannot think of a better way to start the season, Swans vs EP is just the best game. This more so with two new coaches and what they will bring to our respective tables by way of plan and structures with the added spice of players getting the chances.

No arguments about that from me at all Grump, love watching the battles between the Royals and Swans. I would just rather it be on a Saturday!

part of the deal was 5 games at mineral resources park for 2023

The photo is the best thing about those fixtures. Go Falcons !!!

No complaints from me re SFs fixture.

Talking with ol mate on the phone and got told that both Swan Districts & Claremont have 10 Home games this season. Is a bit generous as the other 6 Wafl clubs don’t have that many home appearances this season.
