He seemed to take a Year off after a full Pre-Season at Claremont.
Or gone somewhere to PFL,before joining the Sharks for 2026.
Would think Benning got stuck in a big queue of talls at both Peel and Cl…won’t have that problem at EF…especially since Reuben McGuire may have done his ACL over the weekend…big season for the big fella Benning…Strnadica will need all the help he can get
Talented footballer, was great in our colts and played WA U18s.
Got drafted by Freo and played for Peels Ressies for 2 years. Came back Claremont in 2024 and played a handful of League and Ressies games and missed a fair chunk of the year. As you said did preseason last year but pretty sure he pulled the pin, don’t remember him being out injured but could be wrong.
Didn’t play PFL or country though.
Hope he finds his place at EF and goes well.

As I always suspected, I couldn’t see Willie Rioli having the motivation to come to Perth to play in the WAFL. But in typical uncommitted fashion he says he “probably can’t” play in the WAFL. Sustaining commitment has always been his problem.
I think you are missing it Red - he is committing - to Clontarf and future growth.
He was never seriously entertaining the option. SF were probably trying to mix Clontarf in Perth with playing here. I think he is being real committed

I only read the headline.
It has been confirmed that Rueben McGuire has done an ACL during an Intra club. Terrible luck for Rubes, who has become an important players for the team. Hopefully we see him back in 2027 but that will stretch ruck depth and put a heap of pressure on Strnadica. Not sure who would be 2nd ruck- Jansen? Maybe even Mad Dog Marsh??

Wolf - 200 cm, Fox - 200 cm, Benning - 198cm, Ramsay - 204 cm…big onus on Strnadica to stay fit…rucking won’t be an issue…got plenty of run…just controlling the forward and defensive 50 zones will be EF major concerns in 2026…losing Leggett, Hagan and Zadow is going to hurt big time.
Don’t forget you lost Murdoch as well.
Midfield run aint a problem, yeah Murdock’s absence is big, but EF don’t lack midfielders compared to goalkickers

If we need to play Wolf or Benning in the League, we’re in trouble. Ramsey is a kid and not sure he’s ready. Gee, we’ve lost some talls over the past few- Teakle, Blakiston, Dixon…having just 2 of them back would make a huge difference
EF used to amaze me, the DEES had a team of pigmies, and EF grew 10 foot tall hells angels on trees.
