Can the WA champ Im The Mighty Quinn win his 3rd WA Pacing Cup in a row on Friday Night?
Or will his stable mate Living On The Interest topple him for the 2nd week in a row?
You cant leave out the grand old campaigner & runner up to Quinny in the Interdominion last year Mysta Magical Mach who won it in 2009.
Fellow Interdominion placegetter Lombo Navigator will be around the mark also.
Dasher VC could give some cheek in the lead from his front row draw.
I cant see any of the others finishing in the money but stranger things have happened before with long shots!
I hope Quinny wins again & join an illustrious group of absolute champions in Village Kid & Pure Steel (4 each) in winning the Cup 3 times (The Falcon Strike won 3 as well).
Used to love the trots mate until I found out first hand in a hard fashion how shonky the game is when my very good horse got tied up in some crazy stuff amongst shonky trainers and owners. A disgrace really. And if you dont believe it I can tell you 100% you are wrong. Its a real shame when reality hits and you realise you have been a mug all those years. At least one of them went to jail (but for another reason - or was it…)
Yes I will support the fact it can be a dodgey game. Not saying all races but some of them are rigged even before the race is run. What people don’t realise is they are actually betting on the arrangements made between the jockeys and trainers prior to the race. However having said that, I do enjoy a night out at the trots myself.
Yeah boys I unfortunately do know the racing, pacing & greyhounds industries have their fair share of “interesting characters” involved which is unfortunately a by product of betting on sport ..cricket, baseball, rugby league, soccer are just a handful of other sports that have also had their sports tarnished at times from rigged results due to some participants trying to make a fast buck …in fact even in our own favourite sport footy we had the Melbourne FC ‘pulling up’ in the second half of the season to win the advantage of early draft picks!
Great win again last night to the WA champ Im The Mighty Quinn who unleashed his trademark pulverising speed coming out of the back straight for home to power over the top of his rivals & win his 3rd WA Pacing Cup in a row.
It was the 100th running of the WA Pacing Cup which began in 1913 & it was quite fitting that one of the all time greats from WA won so well.
In the process IMTQ joined the absolute greats of Australian trotting in Village Kid & Pure Steel (4 wins each) plus The Falcon Strike as 3 times winners of our time honoured race.
IMTQ will be going for an incredible 4th straight Fremantle Cup win next Friday Night.
Just saw the replay.
Yes a great win by ITMQ, took the field in no time at all coming out of the back straight.
Sure is a great horse.
He certainly is a champion DF ..I just wish I owned one half as good as him as he has now won nearly $4 million in prizemoney!!
Can’t get mine a start in the City with a decent barrier draw.
Won a few in Country meetings though.
I live in hope.
A pacer you may be interested in DF is one called Elegant Demon (from memory) that has been running around lately even won in the country just recently. It’s owners are a who’s who of ex Perth stars from the 70’s!
Thanks for that I’ll check it out.
Me and a EP mate called our horse Royal Sharkie. Thank fark it had no EP name in it. :silly:
Haha you would of had to call him rEagle Sharkie nowadays! :cheer: ..How did he go Rock?
Still going…slowly.
Saw him run tonight at GP Rock ..didnt have much luck at all in running but ran home alright I thought ..best of luck with him anyway in future races!
Well after all that Dasher VC put paid to Im The Mighty Quinn winning his 4th straight Fremantle Cup with a great front running drive from Chris Lewis. The champ finished a half a head away in 2nd.
Gee’s rock I wish I had horses that go as slow as yours does mate!!
I did say it wasnt a bad run last week too!!
Nicely driven by CB I thought.
To be honest I originally did own the horse but not anymore.
