I read today of the sad passing of Tom Everett the former EP Premiership player (56/58) & EF Captain/Coach in 59.
Tom was also well known as the owner of many good horses probably none better than former Interdominion winner Binshaw in 1967.

I cannot recall seeing Tom play, although I do recall seeing Kilmurray et al, but what I do remember abt the man was his generosity when He and a Fella named Sticken had the butcher shops in Scaborough and allowing my mother to build up a bill whilst my gafther wa gravely ill, he was a fine man.
The older blokes at the PPM’s always speak highly of him and that is enough for me.
