The thing that pisses me off a bit is that if he was a Victorian he would have been held in higher esteem than Lou Richards and many other “characters”. It’s just another example of how everything Victorian is considered above all other states in regards to Aussie rules. Wattsie was part of our state football fabric and should be acknowledged as such. As DD said, him and Bazza Martin were also probably the forerunners of comedy / breakfast radio.
Any talk of a State funeral considering the impact Wattsie had in WA across a number of areas?
