Bill passed away on Saturday at the tender age of 85.
Avid Bird Watcher,environmentalist and of course,a funny fella who with Graeme and Tim,made us laugh for years as The Goodies!
Only Graeme remains,with Tim passing away a few years ago.
Rest In Peace,Bill.
May 'old Wild Bill Oddie keep Texas Tim out of harm’s way of any stray Raspberry Jam bazookas,before Greedy Graeme attempts to Slay 'em,when his time comes.

Loved the Goodies. RIP Bill
Very sad when hearing Oddie had passed away. Very well known for being one of the Goodies. And visited Australia on numerous occasions. He either wrote or sang the Goodies theme song. Sadly, don’t see good comedy like it nowadays. And later on pursued his love of nature with environmental tv shows etc.
He did a very naughty au pair called Helga,to look after Transistorised Tot,Robot!

I thought Bill Oddie was the funniest and most natural of all three of the Goodie goons
The Goodies were a 70s and 80s comedy staple for me, so many laughs, Tim my favourite we lost suddenly during Covid, and now Bill who did struggle in the last few years with his health, Bill went on to host many good wildlife shows and was a passionate wildlife and birdwatcher his whole life. I believe he came here for a one off tour over 10 years ago which I missed.
Just one Goodie left who is still on radio in the UK.
