Someone was saying today the attendance was only 1700 people at the Arena for yesterdays match!!?
Surely not?
Less than 2000 for a Finals match? Surely I was hearing things?
Yeh that sounds about right, mind you about 1000 of them were WCE trainers, coaches, Support staff and support staff for the support stuff…
Haha, spot on Falcon, I don’t know why your surprised at the attendances WAG. I and a few others predicted this around 7 or so years ago. You can’t have a club with a massive unfair advantage dominate a competition for near on a decade with huge red flags popping up everywhere like undefeated seasons, Premierships in all 3 grades for the only time in history, at a minimum most seasons they sign one of the top 5% of delisted AFL players on the market. As we speak they will go through another season with just the one loss with only the WCE giving us any hope of a boil over and denie them of a 3rd Flag during this $$$$ reign. So in summary players within the competition are leaving because there are near on no chance of winning a flag so chase that opportunity elsewhere and for more money ![]()
FMD - I’ve heard it all now.
Apparently it’s Subi’s fault that the garlic muncher supporters can’t be bothered to get off their arses to watch their debt-dodging mob play in a league final.
Sum’s up that club and it’s supporters, nothing to see here, it’s all someone elses fault, what a bunch of softcocks.
I was just asking the question. Had 4 or 5 thousand people attended, I wouldn’t have asked. But upon hearing under 2000, I thought no that cannot be true! I’ve not watched a Wafl match at the Arena, and from what I hear it’s quite a nice ground to watch footy. Has plenty of parking apparently. Not sure what the public transport is like? I know some Wafl grounds has a train station very close by which is most desirable. Some HUGE problems and doesn’t look like the comp can sort them.
Could anyone imagine under 2000 turning up for the big soccer game, the big rugby match, the Basketball or Cricket. One would never hear the end of it.
I think the weather and the fact it was televised had a fair bit to do with it wag.

Spot on
Weather stopped me and given it was on TV, it was easier to stay in. Reckon it stopped a few people. I went Saturday to Fremantle the day before, weather was perfect-hence a good crowd.
Crowds should be better this weekend with fine weather forecast and both games in the central metro area with good public transport options. Wonder what capacity the new Cl oval can take given there is little or no outer. Hope they have a giant parking area for the visiting team and hundreds of support staff and fluffers for the players. Hope the Tiges tear them a new one.

Can’t see the Tiges/Petticoats tearing them a new one in this game.

SS & Co until you clowns admit what you are doing to the Comp is of no benefit then tippy toe around it. One day you will be held accountable.
