Good to see Clark back but not sure why Schofield, Corbett or Snadden are missing.

No argument there KC. I’m have to be in Freo for dinner with friends at 6, so counting on it being all over by 3/4 time. With that team, I might be good to leave at half time.
Schofield suspended for striking ,but not sure for how long? Snadden has a hamstring injury and Corbett a calf injury. (According to this morning’s West).
Congratulations to Charlie Burke making his debut today.
I just saw on the Perth chat that we have picked up Jackson Broadbent from the Demons. They were not very complimentary about his conditioning , but we are desperate for ruckman so let’s see how that one goes!
Enjoyed the new oval and the bar. Great pint of coopers. Nice viewing on the bank. Don’t know what the sharks have been complaining about. East freo presentations were very comfortable.
We gave up our memorabilia freely. Subi played as well as can be expected. Nothing has changed for 5 years. East Fremantle are faster.
Nice debut for Burke. Our forward line is pretty good. Defence a bit short. Generally, every kick we have is rushed because we’re under pressure. Across the ground.
Yes JL. It was really nice at East Freo yesterday and they’ve done a terrific job in making the game day experience very pleasant.
As for the footy, there’s no way Leggett is a 7 goal forward under normal circumstances. What it shows is our lack of decent key defenders at the moment. Could you imagine Leggett carving us up back in the days of Lockyer, Heal, Rohde. Dewar and co? They would have shut him down straight away.
I think we’re not far off being competitive through the middle and front half, but it’s down back where we’re really struggling and need to recruit for next year.
Wagon wheels tried hard, Clark, Cooley and the Motts got a fair bit of it and May a target up forward. Very good debut from Burke who showed plenty of potential.
I thought we were much better than against the jerkers last week bit still plenty of work to do.
I think we were a bit better than last week as a whole, but a lot of passengers. If old east kicked straight it would have been another 10 goal loss. So we hardly bounced back.
Slow af, can’t make tackles stick, easily brushed off and down right man handled at times.
We have holes everywhere. All 3 grades flogged.
How does Kelman keep getting a game?? As a very wise man said to me yesterday, Eaton is an athlete not a footballer. We are in deep shit and it won’t get any better next week vs the d’s…can’t believe I’m saying that.
Some players tried harder this week for themselves, the club and Wardman, we just don’t have the stock. God help us if Mayo goes down.
If I was wardman I would just play any kid with a bit of toe, that’s if there is any
The defence is woeful. Berenger would be the most ineffective defender I’ve ever seen in a Lions jumper. He and Eaton down there together has me scratching my head. Week after week there is very little pressure when the ball hits the ground. To have three defenders standing on the wrong side of Jono Marsh so he just turns and kicks a goal. What happened to getting between the goals and an opponent. Or is that an old fashioned thing now? I watched a bit of the P v EP game and a highlight was the defenders big spoils - ball’s being thumped away in marking contests. Can’t recall that in the Subi game.
